Another week has passed in my challenge to owning a complete Chaos Legion Regular Foil Set and Land, and I will closely monitor and transparently share all details about the challenge in these posts.

Owning a Complete Chaos Legion Regular Foil Set and Land – Update 16

During a recent town hall, the Splinterlands team dropped hints about an exciting upcoming event called "The Great Burning." While details were scarce, speculations are high, especially considering its close association with Splinterlands' upcoming fifth anniversary on Friday, May 26th. As a long-term player who stumbled upon splinterlands during the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic, I am quite excited to see what this event is about. Speculations abound regarding the nature of this event. Could it involve burning specific cards or DEC, leading to potential benefits for players? Given the recent focus on enhancing the utility of SPS, there's a chance that players might receive SPS tokens for every card or DEC burned. All will be revealed in just a few short days.

Land Funds

Although this past week witnessed noteworthy increases in stacking DEC and SPS, both coins experienced a decline of nearly 20%. Consequently, the additional $5 contribution to the Land fund may seem minimal, however we did pass the $150 milestone. Also, if you have been following this challenge close enough, you may have noticed a decrease in the number of packs opened this week. The reason behind this is my support for another community member, @pvmihalache, who is currently conducting a pack opening challenge. Supporting fellow community members ultimately strengthens the game's foundation in the long run.

Land Prices

As expected, the prices of Land assets continued their downward trajectory, mirroring the decreases observed in DEC and SPS. This trend has persisted since I began tracking prices for this challenge. Nonetheless, my goal remains unchanged: to acquire a Land asset before its Land 1.5 release and accumulate the necessary funds to stake cards to the purchased Land asset. Exciting times lie ahead!
