Last week I introduced a new challenge I will be undertaking and publishing weekly updates to the blog. This challenge was born out of celebrating the General Sale of the Chaos Legion edition. I intend to open between 10 and 20 packs a week and track everything here over the forthcoming months.

First 20 Packs Opened

Over the past week, I have been purchasing packs via the official site and on hive-engine when the price dips below $4, but for the basis of this challenge, I will use a flat $4 cost per pack. Once the packs are sold out on the official site, I will update this pricing.

So how did my first 20 packs opening go? No fireworks and no massive return, and fair to say, a little underwhelming. However, I treat splinterlands with a long-term focus, and these cards will bolster collection over a more extended period.

Key Cards

2 Rare Summoners, a couple of gold foils and one legendary. Queen Mycelia was the standout card out of the 20 packs and valued at $26.49, which makes up almost half of the value of the 20 packs opened.

Summary

So there we have it, the challenge has been kicked off and already 2% overall complete towards finishing the challenge. Pity about the negative yield per pack, and it will be interesting to track this number as the challenge goes on.
