Another week has gone by in my challenge to open 1000 Chaos Legion packs, and I will closely monitor and transparently share all details about the challenge in these posts.
Road to opening 1000 Chaos Legion Packs Week 29 Update
It's insane to think that almost two years ago, I learned about this game called splinterlands after reading one of the @costanza posts, and now I have hit the magical 200 post mark. While most of my writing lately has been focused on this enormous pack opening challenge, the consistent writing about splinterlands has helped me learn so much about the game and the ecosystem. Over the past two years, we have seen many pretenders in this space and many trying to be the number one crypto game. Still, unfortunately, many fall prey to the allure of quick get-rich ponzinomics spreadsheet simulators where you click a button - who in their right mind thinks that the kind of games that the mass populous is going to jump to? Anyways, onwards to the next milestone in my splinterlands blogging journey. As for this week's pack opening, we have regressed to the mean with a negative profit/loss and yield per pack. The past two pack openings had given me hope of reaching the previous streak of three positives, but alas, we march on!
Key Cards
I am starting to build a nice collection of rare gold foil Choas Legion summoners. Unfortunately, it wasn't a gold foil one, but Obsidian will go nicely into the collection and help collect small amounts of DEC from renting it out. The legendary Void Dragon is another great card that I now have enough to level up, which my alt account will be able to unleash onto its battles.

I do assume that you do earn enough potions per week to open the packs. At least that is saving you some money. On the other hand everybody is opening now the pack backed with potions, so there isn't a lot of difference anymore.
Good luck with the remaining 380 packs.
There was a period where I was having to fork out cash monies to buy potions, but lately due to the reward changes I have been getting more and more potions so haven't been needing to buy additional potions which is always a positive. Buying potions is like insuranc, its a grudge purchase but neccessary to give you that chance at a GFL!
