A Chaos Legion edition rare level monster from the Neutral unit at level 3:

  • Estimated cost: $6.538
  • Melee attack: 3
  • Speed: 3
  • Health: 6
  • Sneak - Targets the last Monster on the enemy Team instead of the first Monster.

Who remembers the classic RPG title, Jade Empire, developed by Bioware when they could still produce top-tier games? When Jade Empire was released, it was way ahead of its time when it was released in 2005. The world was inspired and set in Chinese Mythologies, and when I look at the Tenyii Striker artwork, it reminds me of similar Chinese Mythology and games set in that era, like Jade Empire. I can't recall a recent battle challenge in which the monster/card featured had a price greater than $5; it's a good indicator of how popular the Tenyii Striker is. At level three, you have a monster that can deal decent damage at a decent speed, good health, and, notably, an ability to attack from any position. Unsurprisingly, it's a popular card as it can be useful at lower levels and hold its own in the top leagues.

A few lucky hits and crucially taking out Grum Fireblade very early in the battle allowed me to snatch a victory that I wouldn't have thought would be possible considering the opposition's lineup. When you see the opposition lineup with tanky legendary monsters, your heart immediately sinks as the probability of winning is reduced. Still, due to a concept of statistical variance, I got lucky this time round. The Tenyii Striker was stellar in this battle, landing chunky blows from the backline due to the Sneak ability and ably supported by the trio of range damage, who were the real MVPs of this battle. All in all, very satisfied with this battle and clinching the victory.

Do you like the Tenyii Striker? Why or why not?

Sneak ability monsters are plentiful abound as it's one of the most popular abilities to use in splinterlands. There are 23 monsters at level one that has the Sneak ability; therefore, if you are looking for alternatives to Tenyii Striker for whatever reason, you have plenty to choose from. However, when evaluating options, you need to determine whether you will get the same value that Tenyii Striker offers. Nonetheless, I am happy to have Tenyii Striker in the collection as I feel $6 is not much for a level three card that can add real value to my collection.
