All good points. The game will not grow and be profitable without new players and the retention of existing players. Splinterlands has a lot of inflation which is punishing card value, SPS and DEC values. Without more players, the assets being held by players will continue to decline. That said, I am long term bullish on Splinterlands. I think the management team is aggressively trying to bring more players and more value. Hang in there!

I'm not sure if the low card value is a bad thing. It is a good jumping point for new players to start the game as they don't have to pay a fortune for that. And also even for me it takes a lot of investment to level up my deck to Gold.
I have a few land plots, so I hope Wen Land will be answered within a year 😅

What bonuses do you receive for land? Is it better to have land than a license?
I don't think so. Def. not in the short run. You get only around 1.45 SPS/land plot, which will decrease by 1% each month for the next few years.
Land release will happen earliest sometime end of next year, so the money can be invested elsewhere (including a Node). What might boost a price a bit will be end of the year the land reveals (so you might find out where your plot is and what rarity it has).
If I would have the liquidity I might have bought a Node. The difference is that land costs around 1/8th of a Node.
So basically you can still wait with investing into land, and reap the benefits of it later (though it will be quite complex and a lot of cooperation will be needed between plots), though after reveal it will be harder to get plots near eachother (there will be travel times for transportation of goods).
That's some really good info. I am leaning toward the license and right now they are at a decent price on Tribaldex. I see that land could have some unexpected value. Like, I have a plot near someone else who wants to expand so they pay me above market for it, but that would be an element of luck.
