Flawless Win in Explosive Weaponry Ruleset Battle - Blast Ability killed 2 Monsters

(Edited)

Yeah! It's been a big week. To be able to draw same battle ruleset required lots of battles to be played. Some may call it luck, whatever it is, I am glad I to be able to make a second submission for the Weaponry ruleset battle challenge. I shared my first experience in the First entry where I battled using water splinters against death splinters. This time around, the enemy team chosed the earth splinters and it was way easier to secure a flawless win at least with my established winning strategy in the first shot.

The fun in splinterlands is that the more you play battles, the better you get with designing a better strategy for a certain battle environment. Having played the Explosive weaponry ruleset before, it was easier to know what strategy works well for me or not. All I needed to add was to tweak on number of cards to use depending on the battle manna cap. Thanks, this second battle had a higher manna cap and I just had to add an extra powerful card to my previous to see how it works.

Whatever the case is, you do not also dismiss that quick because you do not know how the enemy's team would look like. This time, I was matched with a team that fielded a set of powerful earth monsters but my strategy was just unbeatable.

The Explosive Weaponry ruleset means that all units gain the Blast ability; additional damage is done on adjacent monsters and is equivalent to main damage divided by 2, rounded up. That means if the actual attack damaged the target monster by -4, the blast on adjacent monsters would be -2 each. To be able to succeed in the battle, it is advised that a player includes a unit with Reflection Shield in your lineup to absorb blast damage and protect his back line.

I was armed a how the ruleset works in the first battle attempt. I learnt my lesson and simply adopted the same strategy and added extra card to match up with the manna cap of the present batttle.

Let's get in...

Battle

Batttle Manna cap: 28

My Summoner

My Summoner was KELYA FRENDUL - I simply love water cards. DO I say, I am addicted to them, except the battle ruleset does not permit, I would always go for water cards at first choice. KELYA FRENDUL adds speed and armor to all friendly monsters. I also prefer it for this battle because the blast that comes with the Explosive Weaponry ruleset damages armors before the health of the monster.

The summoner used by the enemy team was OBSIDIAN. That is another powerful smmoner that adds magic attack stat to all its friendly monsters. There was nothing to really worry about the summoner since it was focused at building the strength of its team. Mine also did the same work.

At the start of the battle, my monsters ' armors all increased by +1 each. I felt confident at the start of the battle though the enemy monsters had magic attack monsters tat would ignore armor to hit the health but I was more concerned with reinforcing my team against blast damage.

My Strategy and Battle Line up

Here is my line up for the battle. I selected Four monsters in all for the fight.

First Monster in battle line: NERISSA TRIDAWN

Second Monster in battle line: DEEPLURKER

Third Monster in battle line: BAAKJIRA

Fourth Monster in battle line: MERDAALI GUARDIAN

Here's the outlook of the enemy team:

Enemy Summoner: OBSIDDIAN

First Monster in battle line: MYCELIC INFANTRY

Second Monster in battle line: FAILED SUMMONER

Third Monster in battle line: VENARI SCOUT

Fourth Monster in battle line: SPIRIT DRUID GROG

Fifth Monster in battle line: GOBLIN PSYCHIC

Positioning NERISSA TRIDAWN in the front line of the battle is to help start powerfully with its magic attack that hits the health of its target monster. I like placing DEEPLURKER at the second line since it can attack from the rear due to its opportunity ability. These two were the engine room for my battle win. They were the only attacking monsters. The other two were non-attacking - BAAKJIRA and MERDAALI GUARDIAN. Though, their abilities maimed the enemy team and boosted my team respectively.

Below are the stats for NERISSA TRIDAWN and DEEPLURKER that secured the wins for my team. NERISSA TRIDAWN killed three enemy monsters while DEEPLURKER killed two. They made the battle not last longer than three rounds.

The Ruleset Effect

The ruleset efect were really felt on the enemy team than on my team. I suffered no loss of monster through the 3-round battle. Out of the 5 monsters killled in the enemy team, two wee killed through blast damage as a result of the Explosive Weaponry Ruleset while only two were killed through direct damage.

Thanks to Deeplurker that attacked from the second line and targeted second line monsters, hence doing damage to 3 monsters each time it struck.

The Battle Experience

The battle lasted for only 3 rounds. Again, the explosive weaponry ruleset made it easier since blast damage helped to kill two enemy monsters. Below are screenshots of the three rounds and how the damages happened.

Round 1

At the first round, Deeplurker was able to bring down one monster at its first shot. The monster was poorly rated with 1 health though with high magic attack. IT was a smart move to save the team from such high hit.

Round 2

At the end of the second round, three monsters in the enemy team were down. Thanks to NERISSA TRIDAWN and Deeplurker as well as the blast effect.

Round 3

It took NERISSA TRIDAWN about nothing to crush the last monsters standing in the enemy team.

Result

It was a flawless win for my team since we had all Four monsters still active at the end of the battle and with sufficient health stats.

Explosive Weaponry Ruleset is fun if you're on the winning side and that if ou know the right characters to comine.

Thanks for sharing! - @mango-juice

nice post, but plz note that using all level 1 cards in challenge posts for long may be considered as post farming.
