Hello, everyone! Today I want to share with you a fan art that I made with a lot of love, which is inspired by a card from the game Splinterlands, a card that caught my attention in terms of its design and lore. I'm talking about none other than Little Sister, a character belonging to the Ferexian Empire universe, whom I found quite mysterious and charming.

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un fanart que realicé con mucho cariño, el cual está inspirado en una carta del juego splinterlands, una carta que ha atrapado mi atención en cuanto a su diseño y su lore. Estoy hablando de nada más y nada menos que de Little Sister, un personaje perteneciente al universo del imperio ferexiano y el cual me pareció bastante misterioso y encantador.
Now I'm going to tell you about the history of this charming character based on the game's lore, and I'll start by talking about the Ferexian Empire, which is a large region and military power known as "The Great Lowlands." This empire is extremely strict and authoritarian and is ruled by an organization called "The Ministry of Peace," but this ministry is not peaceful at all and imposes very strict rules. They do not allow free speech and only reward those who are loyal, and anyone who dares to think differently will be branded a traitor.
Okay, it is in this world that Little Sister plays an important role. These little devils come from the lower planes and were trained by "The Ministry of Peace" to carry out certain missions. These little creatures act as spies, infiltrating homes, barracks, and important meetings. They see and hear everything and are responsible for eliminating dangerous evidence that could harm the empire without anyone noticing, thanks to their magical abilities and innocent appearance, which allow them to go unnoticed and unsuspected.
Ahora voy a hablarles acerca de la historia de este encantador personaje basándome en el lore del juego y empezaré por hablar sobre el imperio ferexiano, el cual es una gran región y potencia militar conocida como "Las Grandes Tierras Bajas", este imperio es extremadamente estricto y autoritario y esta gobernado por una organización llamada "El Ministerio de la Paz", pero este ministerio en realidad no tiene nada de pacífico e impone reglas muy estrictas, no permiten la libre expresión y solo premia a aquellos que son leales y cualquiera que se atreva a pensar diferente será tachado de traidor.
Ok, es en este mundo donde se desempeña Little Sister y juega un papel importante, estos diablillos provienen de los planos inferiores y fueron entrenado por "El Ministerio de la Paz" para cumplir ciertas misiones. Estas pequeñas criaturas cumplen el rol de espias, se infiltran en las casas, cuarteles y reuniones importantes, lo ven y escuchan todo, se encargan de eliminar evidencias peligrosas que perjudiquen al imperio sin que nadie se dé cuenta, gracias a que poseen habilidades mágicas y por su inocente apariencia pasan desapercibidas y nadie sospecha de ellas.
Great! Now let's talk about the creative process.
Inspired by this interesting story, I decided to create my own version of Little Sister, which I've been working on for a long time and which you all know is pixel art.
I also gave it a chibi touch, creating a cute design with small proportions, except for her head, which, as you know, is always big. 😅
I started working on the black and white sketch, using pixels on a 103x103 pixel canvas. In it, we see the little devil in full body. I added many features that capture the essence of the original character, so I gave her bat wings, a tail, pointed ears, two small horns on her head, and a few other details.
¡Bien! Ahora hablemos acerca del proceso creativo.
Inspirandome en esta historia tan interesante he decido crear una versión de Little Sister a mi estilo, el cual llevo trabajando desde hace mucho tiempo y todos ya saben cual es, el pixel art.
Además de esto le di un toque chibi, creando un diseño tierno, con proporciones pequeñas, excepto en su cabeza, que ya saben, siempre es grande. 😅
Empecé a trabajar el boceto en blanco y negro, usando pixeles y sobre un lienzo de 103x103 pixeles. En el vemos a la pequeña diablilla en cuerpo completo, le agregué muchas características que captarán la esencia del personaje original, así que le hice alas de murciélago, cola y orejas puntiagudas, dos pequeños cuernos en su cabeza y uno que otro detalle.
With the sketch of our Little Sister ready, it was time to color it in. so I used the original character's color palette as a reference and began the coloring process, first applying a pink base color to all the skin, which gave me a solid foundation on which to work out all the details, both shadows and highlights, which would give depth and volume to the illustration.
Teniendo ya listo el boceto de nuestra Little Sister ya estaba lista para ser coloreada, así que tomé de referencia la paleta de colores del personaje original y comencé el proceso de coloreado, aplicando primero que nada una base de color rosada sobre toda la piel, lo que me permitió tener una base solida sobre la cual trabajé todos los detalles, tanto de sombras como de luces, las cuales le darían profundidad y volumen a la ilustración.
These shadows and lights played an important role, as they helped me gradually define the features and expressions of her face. It is also worth noting that I gave her a beautiful smile that made her look quite sweet.
Estas sombras y luces jugaron un papel importante, ya que me ayudaron a definir poco a poco los rasgos y expresiones de su rostro, además cabe destacar que le di una linda sonrisa que la hiciera lucir bastante dulce.
I painted her eyes yellow with orange shadows beneath the gold glasses she wears, and I gave her hair a reddish-brown tone before painting her horns.
Sus ojos debajo de los anteojos dorados que lleva los pinté de amarillo, con sombras anaranjadas y a su cabello le di un tono marrón rojizo, para luego pintar sus cuernos.
As for her clothing, which consists of a top and tights, which I made quite simple and discreet, without being vulgar, I have matched it to the color of her horns.
En cuanto a su ropa, la cual consiste en un top y unas pantys, a las que hice bastante sencilla y discreta, sin tocar lo vulgar, la he combinado con el color de sus cuernos.
Finally, I painted its wings and tail, adding a few small details here and there, thus completing the illustration.
Finalmente pinté sus alas y su cola, agregando alguno que otro pequeño detalle, completando así la ilustración.
As for the background, lately I've been doing very simple backgrounds, nothing special, with a few lines and squares, and I did the same for this character. I used some purple tones in this case, as I thought that color contrasted quite well with the illustration.

Y en cuanto al fondo, pues últimamente he estado haciendo fondos muy sencillos, nada especial, con algunas líneas y cuadrados y para este personaje también lo hice de igual manera, usé algunos tonos morados en este caso, me pareció que ese color contrasta bastante con la ilustración.
