Consejos para dar tus primeros pasos en Splinterlands [ES/EN]

Saludos comunidad NFTGamer. Splinterlands es un juego de cartas de batalla muy divertido que puede arrojar algunas ganancias invirtiendo de manera inteligente. En el siguiente post les compartiré parte de mi experiencia en este juego y cómo pueden ustedes ser parte de este proyecto que tiene varios años activo en nuestra Blockchain de Hive.

Greetings NFTGamer community. Splinterlands is a very fun battle card game that can throw some profits by investing wisely. In the following post I will share with you part of my experience in this game and how you can be part of this project that has been active for several years in our Hive Blockchain.

Cuando inicié este juego no tenía cartas en posesión, solo jugaba con cartas que nos proporciona el juego al comprar el libro de hechizos. Es importante que entiendan que para poder jugar Splinterlands deben comprar el Spellbook ya que este item es la llave que les permitirá jugar con otros usuarios en las diferentes ligas y torneos, optar por recompensas reales y de esa manera iniciar una carrera en este juego comunitario. El costo del Spellbook es de 10$ pagados una única vez, ya sea por Paypal o por alguna Crypto.

When I started this game I had no cards in my possession, I only played with cards provided by the game when I bought the Spellbook. It is important to understand that in order to play Splinterlands you must buy the Spellbook as this item is the key that will allow you to play with other users in the different leagues and tournaments, opt for real rewards and thus start a career in this community game. The cost of the Spellbook is 10$ paid only once, either by Paypal or by Crypto.

A diario se habilita una especie de misión llamada Focus, con ella podemos ganar puntos que podemos cambiar por cofres, estos cofres tienen recompensas que van desde token SPS, MERITOS, pociones, cartas, Créditos. Por eso he dicho que el Spellbook es esencial para poder ganar en Splinterlands.

Fue entonces con estas recompensas que obtuve mis primeras cartas propias, cartas que puedo vender, alquilar o delegar (prestar) a cualquier otro usuario. Splinterlands tiene un mercado interno bastante movido donde se pueden cazar buenas ofertas. Yo nunca he vendido alguna carta porque tengo muy pocas, al contrario he estado comprando algunas que anteriormente alquilaba con frecuencia, debo comprar algunas otras muy pronto. Claro que siempre podremos comprar pack sin abrir dentro el juego o en mercados secundarios.

Every day a kind of mission called Focus is enabled, with it we can earn points that we can exchange for chests, these chests have rewards ranging from SPS token, MERITS, potions, cards, Credits. That's why I said that the Spellbook is essential to be able to win in Splinterlands.

It was then with these rewards that I got my first own cards, cards that I can sell, rent or delegate (lend) to any other user. Splinterlands has a very busy internal market where you can hunt for good deals. I have never sold any card because I have very few, on the contrary I have been buying some cards that I used to rent frequently, I should buy some others very soon. Of course we can always buy unopened packs inside the game or in secondary markets.

Hablando de cartas, deben saber que cada una de ellas tiene habilidades diferentes. En Splinterlands existen 7 elementos: Fire, Water, Earth, Neutral, Death, Dragon, Life. En el diseño pueden ver el nivel de la carta, el costo de mana, la habilidad, entre otras cosas, dejo una imagen como ejemplo.

Speaking of cards, you should know that each of them has different abilities. In Splinterlands there are 7 elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Neutral, Death, Dragon, Life. In the design you can see the level of the card, the mana cost, the ability, among other things, I leave an image as an example.

Aunque el diseño de las cartas puede cambiar según la edición, es básicamente igual.

Si te estas preguntando sobre el mana, pues es como la energía mágica necesaria para poder usar cada carta, lo que sucede es que en cada batalla hay un número limitado de mana que se puede utilizar. Las cartas con un mayor gasto de maná generalmente son más poderosas, por el contrario cartas con poco gasto de mana generalmente son más débiles.

El invocador es una carta especial que posee la habilidad de traer nuestros guerreros a la batalla, el elemento del invocador determina el resto de cartas que podemos utilizar. Actualmente existen invocadores que tienen doble elemento, sobre todo en la reciente edición de cartas Rebellion. Ejemplo en la siguiente imagen, el invocador DOLFAR DARFLAK tiene dos elementos, muerte y fuego por lo cual nos permite traer a la batalla cartas de estos dos elementos además de cartas del elemento neutral.

If you are wondering about the mana, it is like the magic energy needed to use each card, what happens is that in each battle there is a limited number of mana that can be used. Cards with a higher mana expenditure are generally more powerful, on the contrary cards with low mana expenditure are generally weaker.

The summoner is a special card that has the ability to bring our warriors into battle, the element of the summoner determines the rest of the cards we can use. Currently there are summoners that have double element, especially in the recent edition of Rebellion cards. For example in the following image, the summoner DOLFAR DARFLAK has two elements, death and fire, which allows us to bring into battle cards of these two elements in addition to cards of the neutral element.

En algunas ocasiones las batallas tienen reglas que bien pueden beneficiarnos o perjudicarnos, todo depende de la estrategia que utilicemos en dicha batalla.

Hay que tener en cuenta que hay muchos factores a tomar en cuenta en cada batalla, el mana a gastar, las reglas de la batalla, las habilidades de las cartas para poder crear una sinergia apropiada.

Sometimes battles have rules that can either benefit or harm us, it all depends on the strategy we use in that battle.

We must take into account that there are many factors to take into account in each battle, the mana to spend, the rules of the battle, the abilities of the cards in order to create an appropriate synergy.

Hablemos de tokens. Splinterlands tiene varios tokens, algunos se pueden comerciar o intercambiar fuera del juego y otros no.

SPLINTERSHARDS (SPS): Este es el token de gobernanza, se puede ganar en cofres, también colocando el mismo en stake. Puede ser intercambiado en diferentes Exchange.

Let's talk about tokens. Splinterlands has several tokens, some can be traded or exchanged outside the game and others not.

SPLINTERSHARDS (SPS): This is the governance token, it can be earned in chests, also by placing it in stake. It can be exchanged in different exchanges.

DARK ENERGY CRYSTALS (DEC): Este token es muy utilizado, puede ser intercambiado dentro y fuera del juego en algunas Exchange, principalmente en https://tribaldex.com/trade/DEC. Con DEC podemos comprar y alquilar cartas, adquirir otros bienes dentro del juego, pagar entradas a torneos, comprar pociones, en resumen es la moneda más utilizada en el juego según mi criterio.

DARK ENERGY CRYSTALS (DEC): This token is very used, it can be exchanged inside and outside the game in some exchanges, mainly in https://tribaldex.com/trade/DEC. With DEC we can buy and rent cards, buy other goods in the game, pay for tournament tickets, buy potions, in short it is the most used currency in the game in my opinion.

Existe un token llamado DEC-B que fue ofertado de una forma muy limitada para otorgar beneficios en aporte a las diferentes Guilds y otras compras, que solo se podía comprar cone el token DEC.

There is a token called DEC-B that was offered in a very limited way to grant benefits in contribution to the different Guilds and other purchases, which could only be purchased with the DEC token.

CREDITS: Los créditos son tokens que pueden ser ganados en cofres o torneos, también pueden ser comprados utilizando Paypal o alguna Crypto. Sirven para comerciar en el mercado del juego alquilando o comprando cartas. A diferencia de las anteriores, este no puede ser intercambiado en ninguna Exchange, solo funciona Ingame.

CREDITS: Credits are tokens that can be won in chests or tournaments, they can also be bought using Paypal or any Crypto. They are used to trade in the game market by renting or buying cards. Unlike the previous ones, this cannot be exchanged in any Exchange, only Ingame works.

Entendiendo todo esto que acabo de mencionar y teniendo en propiedad el Spellbook, queda empezar a jugar, lo digo seriamente, la única manera de aprender y avanzar es jugando muchas veces, perderán una y otra vez y tal vez sientan frustración, como me sucedió, pero es así que podrán entender las mecánicas de este juego. En mi caso estuve jugando una semana entera muy molesto porque no terminaba de entender algunas cosas. La segunda semana ya entendía la mayoría de las mecánicas y fue más fácil. Una estrategia que utilicé en mis inicios, fue copiar las cartas que utilizaban mis adversarios cuando me ganaban, de ese modo pude entender la sinergia en el equipo.

En este juego siempre hay algo nuevo que aprender, además que en cada nueva edición de cartas hay nuevas cosas, como en la reciente edición Rebellion, con nuevas habilidades tanto para cartas monstruos como para invocadores.

La comunidad Splinterlands es gigantesca y sigue creciendo, es importante ser parte activa de ella. Existe un servidor de Discord el cual los invito a entrar para charlar con otros jugadores y no perderse de actualizaciones y noticias.

Gracias a este juego he hecho nuevas amistades y me he divertido muchísimo con minitorneos en la comunidad Hive NFTGame Latino donde nos reunimos y compartimos nuestra afición por Splinterlands.

Understanding all this that I have just mentioned and having the Spellbook in property, it remains to start playing, I say it seriously, the only way to learn and advance is playing many times, you will lose again and again and maybe you will feel frustration, as it happened to me, but this is how you will be able to understand the mechanics of this game. In my case I was playing for a whole week very annoyed because I didn't understand some things. The second week I understood most of the mechanics and it was easier. A strategy that I used in my beginnings was to copy the cards that my opponents used when they beat me, that way I could understand the synergy in the team.

In this game there is always something new to learn, besides that in each new edition of cards there are new things, as in the recent Rebellion edition, with new abilities for both monster cards and summoners.

The Splinterlands community is huge and growing, it is important to be an active part of it. There is a Discord server which I invite you to join to chat with other players and not miss updates and news.

Thanks to this game I have made new friends and I have had a lot of fun with mini-tournaments in the Hive NFTGame Latino community where we meet and share our love for Splinterlands.
