Hello beautiful people of the internet, how are you? Welcome to my new entry for the weekly Splinterlands art contest. I really like this week's drawing and I hope you guys like it too.

Selenia Sky is the name of this character. She is a very skilled girl with dragons, most allow them to ride them, she is a very tenacious summoner and one of the most famous in Drahykh-Nahka. I don't think I've ever drawn a dragon, so I was encouraged to do something different.

Process:

I must admit that drawing the dragon was a new challenge, I had some trouble drawing his silhouette, especially the neck. I'm not a person who draws fantasy characters but it was good to test myself. Regarding Selenia's character, at first I thought it was going to be difficult to place her body above the dragon, but in the end I managed to do it. After several blurbs, I started to do the lineart.

The colors I used are part of the same color palette of the original character, I added some extra details on the dragon's body like some scales, and I drew a slightly different outfit for Selenia, inspired by the Viking style.

Finally, the background. You may have already noticed that sometimes I draw the background along with the sketch, and sometimes the idea comes up in the process. Well, the background in this opportunity I left it for the end, this was not even the first one I drew, previously it had much more somber colors and I didn't feel comfortable with it, so I changed many things and made the environment more simple but nice, the environment is calm and the colors contrast with the characters.

Hola gente linda de internet, ¿Cómo están? Bienvenidos a mi nueva entrada para el concurso de arte semanal de Splinterlands. El dibujo de esta semana me gusta mucho y espero que a ustedes también les guste.

Selenia Sky es el nombre de este personaje. Es una chica muy hábil con los dragones, la mayoría les permite montarlos, es una invocadora muy tenaz y una de las más famosas de Drahykh-Nahka. Creo que nunca he dibujado un dragón, así que me animé a hacer algo diferente.

Proceso:

Debo admitir que dibujar al dragón fue un nuevo reto, tuve algunos inconvenientes para dibujar su silueta, especialmente el cuello. No soy una persona que dibuje personajes de fantasía pero fue bueno ponerme a prueba. Con respecto al personaje de Selenia, al principio pensé que me iba a resultar complicado situar su cuerpo por encima del dragón, pero al final lo logré. Después de varios borrones, empecé a hacer el lineart.

Los colores que usé forman parte de la misma paleta de colores del personaje original, añadí unos detalles extras en el cuerpo del dragón como algunas escamas, y dibujé un atuendo un poco diferente para Selenia, inspirándome un poco en el estilo vikingo.

Finalmente, el fondo. Quizá ya se habrán dado cuenta que en ocasiones dibujo el fondo junto con el boceto, y en otras ocasiones la idea surge en el proceso. Pues bien, el fondo en esta oportunidad lo dejé para el final, este ni siquiera fue el primero que dibujé, anteriormente tenía colores mucho más sombríos y no me sentía a gusto con él, así que cambié muchas cosas y ambiente más simple pero bonito, el entorno es tranquilo y los colores contrastan con los personajes.
