Hello, how are you? Welcome back to one of my art posts. This time I will present you my entry for week number 200✨ of the #splinterlands art contest, I chose for this opportunity Iza The Fanged.
Hola, ¿cómo están? Bienvenidos de nuevo a uno de mis posts de arte. Esta vez les presentaré mi entrada para la semana número 200✨ del concurso de arte #splinterlands, elegí para esta oportunidad a Iza The Fanged.
Iza doesn't know where she came from, except that she was born with the heart of a snake. She will take advantage of anyone who enters her territory. She has a particular fondness for snatching men after watching them from between the trees, piquing their interest. She grabs them with moving vines and drags them into her cave before striking.
Iza no sabe de dónde viene, salvo que nació con el corazón de una serpiente. Se aprovechará de cualquiera que entre en su territorio. Le gusta especialmente atrapar a los hombres después de observarlos entre los árboles, despertando su interés. Los agarra con enredaderas que se mueven y los arrastra a su cueva antes de atacar..
It caught my attention mainly because of the snake mark that runs across part of her abdomen and chest, and I think it's the first time I decided to make a letter of the Earth category, and to tell the truth for this week I was looking for something "simple", but sometimes things flow in another way and even a little more creative. Without further ado, I share with you the process
Llamó mi atención principalmente por la marca de la serpiente que recorre parte de su abdomen y pecho, y creo que es la primera vez que me decido a hacer una carta de la categoría Tierra, y a decir verdad para esta semana buscaba algo "sencillo", pero a veces las cosas fluyen de otra manera e incluso un poco más creativa. Sin más preámbulos, les comparto el proceso.
PROCESS - PROCESO
Sketch - Base colors
First I did the sketch, the pose gave me work on the proportions of her hips and legs. This time I didn't want to work with line art to practice and improve the work without it.
Primero hice el boceto, la pose me dio trabajo en las proporciones de sus caderas y piernas. Esta vez no quise trabajar con el line art para practicar y mejorar el trabajo sin esto.
Shadows - Lighting
Then I moved on to the base colors and shadows, all this I worked with a watercolor brush, modifying the opacity of the brush, and changing the blending blends, depending on what I wanted to do. I decided to leave the hands for the end of the illustration, because as we all know it is the most tedious thing to do.
Luego pasé a los colores base y a las sombras, todo esto lo trabajé con un pincel de acuarela, modificando la opacidad del pincel, y cambiando las mezclas, dependiendo de lo que quisiera hacer. Decidí dejar las manos para el final de la ilustración, porque como todos sabemos es lo más tedioso de hacer.
Details
Then I made the chair or throne where she would be sitting, the effect of the way I did it with the same watercolor brush and also changing the blending of the brush, the difference is that I worked it as if I was tattooing haha, the shadows were made in the direction that the figure patterned and made pendulum movements to give it that texture. I did the same with the trees in the background, and for the leaves I used a plant brush. Hehe!
Luego hice la silla o trono donde ella estaría sentada, el efecto de la manera lo hice con el mismo pincel de acuarela y también cambiando la fusión del pincel, la diferencia es que lo trabajé como si estuviera tatuando jaja, las sombras las hice en la dirección de la figura dibujada e hice movimientos pendulares para darle esa textura. Lo mismo hice con los árboles del fondo, y para las hojas utilicé un pincel para plantas. Jeje.
Snake
As I already said I had chosen this character because of her snake, so I wanted to give her prominence, I left her for the end to dedicate her time to it. I wanted to reflect her in a way that her mark will come to life, coming out of her shoulder and surrounding part of her body.
Como ya comenté había elegido este personaje por su serpiente, por lo que quise darle protagonismo, la dejé para el final para dedicarle su tiempo. Quise reflejarla de forma que su marca cobrara vida, saliendo de su hombro y rodeando parte de su cuerpo.
Completed Illustration
Finally, I finished his hands, added more darkness to the background and some shadows for retouching. Por último, terminé sus manos, añadí más oscuridad al fondo y algunas sombras de retoque. Entiendo eso de no identificarte con un estilo pero por más que sea uno tiende a hacer las cosas de cierta manera y es muy loco que la gente lo note y uno no eso me pasa a veces también xD
