Since I started in #hive I have noticed that many artists participate weekly in this contest, I on the other hand have not had the opportunity to play Splinterlands, but I was digging about it and I found this card, of which I fell in love, because it is my favorite character of Greek mythology, for this reason this week I wanted to participate for the first time.
Next I will share with you part of the elaboration process
Desde que empecé en #hive me he dado cuenta que muchos artistas participan semanalmente en este concurso, yo por mi parte no he tenido la oportunidad de jugar a Splinterlands, pero estuve indagando al respecto y encontré esta carta, de la cual me enamoré, pues es mi personaje favorito de la mitología griega, por esta razón esta semana quise participar por primera vez.
A continuación compartiré con ustedes parte del proceso de elaboración.
Process - Proceso
I've been working with an artistic style that goes towards semi-realism, so for this illustration I chose this model as a reference for her striking eyes, and then I took her to what is the representation of Medusa from Splinterlands.
He estado trabajando con un estilo artístico que va hacia el semirealismo, así que para esta ilustración elegí a esta modelo como referencia por sus llamativos ojos, y luego la llevé a lo que es la representación de Medusa de Splinterlands.
For this I started with the sketch, and then I made the outline of it. This time I didn't work the shadows in grayscale, for this time I started with the base colors.
Para eso inicié con el boceto, y luego realicé el contorno de ella. En esta ocasión no trabaje las sombras en escalas de grises, para esta vez inicie con los colores base.
For the shadows I used as always layers in multiple fusion, and this time I used the same colors that I had chosen for the base of each section, except for the skin, for which I used an old pink, caramel brown and a little blue.
Para las sombras utilicé como siempre capas en fusión múltiple, y esta vez utilicé los mismos colores que había elegido para la base de cada sección, excepto para la piel, para la que utilicé un rosa viejo, marrón caramelo y un poco de azul.
Once the shading is finished, I will make the face, and give illumination. Then I made the gems and details of her body, to move on to what would be the background.
Ya terminando el sombreado pase a realizar el rostro, y dar iluminación. Luego realice las gemas y detalles de su cuerpo, para asi pasar a lo que seria el fondo.
Medusa is a rare card of the water element, so I wanted to make it on water, for this I chose several watercolor brushes and various shades of blue. Then I wanted to add a ruined structure, so I placed two broken Greek columns.
Medusa es una carta rara del elemento agua, así que quise hacerla sobre el agua, para ello elegí varios pinceles de acuarela y varios tonos de azul. Luego quise añadir una estructura en ruinas, así que coloqué dos columnas griegas rotas.
