Twisted Jester
Greetings hivers, once again I have decided to participate in the weekly art contest of @Splinterlands, honestly last week I had a lot of fun making the Medusa, I had chosen that character because I am super fan of Greek mythology and well as I mentioned in that post she is my favorite character, but this time I asked my boyfriend to choose the card to draw, to which he chose: Twisted Jester.
Twisted Jester belongs to the Death deck, it is characterized for being a rare card and being DPS, that is to say a card that can inflict a lot of damage. He dresses like a jester, has a baked mouth and his hands seem to be those of a monster with extremely long nails.
Saludos hivers, una vez más he decidido participar en el concurso de arte semanal de @Splinterlands, sinceramente la semana pasada me divertí mucho haciendo la Medusa, había elegido ese personaje porque soy súper fan de la mitología griega y bueno como mencioné en ese post es mi personaje favorito, pero esta vez le pedí a mi novio que eligiera la carta a dibujar, a lo cual eligió: Twisted Jester
Twisted Jester pertenece al mazo de cartas Death se caracteriza por ser una carta rara y ser DPS, es decir una carta que puede infligir mucho daño. Viste como un bufón, tiene la boca cocida y sus manos parecen las de un monstruo con las uñas extremadamente largas.
When I saw it I liked its colors, and it reminded me a lot of the old Harley Quinn with her little two-tone outfit, so I decided to draw Twisted Jester in a female version.
Cuando lo vi me gustaron sus colores, y me recordó mucho a la antigua Harley Quinn con su trajecito bicolor, así que decidí dibujar a Twisted Jester en versión femenina.

Let me tell you about my process:
First of all I made the base sketch of the illustration. To make the face and her figure I used the symmetry tool and for the strokes I used pencil 3b and 8b, with red, orange and navy blue, I always like my digital sketches to be well marked, that's why I use these brushes and colors.

Permítanme que les cuente mi proceso:
En primer lugar hice el boceto base de la ilustración. Para hacer la cara y su figura utilicé la herramienta de simetría y para los trazos utilicé lápiz 3b y 8b, con rojo, naranja y azul marino, siempre me gusta que mis bocetos digitales estén bien marcados, por eso uso estos pinceles y colores.
Next I did the outlining, most of the time I do this with a nib brush or felt tip pen and it's only for the outside contour nothing more than to mark the silhouette (I'm used to it 😝).
A continuación hice el contorno, la mayoría de las veces lo hago con un pincel de plumilla o rotulador y es sólo para el contorno exterior nada más que para marcar la silueta (ya estoy acostumbrada 😝).
Then I moved on to coloring, here I made a difference, I used a new brush for me, which is called "conceptual brush", most of the illustration I did with this brush and a blender, sometimes I changed the opacity and size of the brush depending on what I wanted to do in the illustration.
Ok!, when I started coloring I started with the cap, what I did with the brush was to dab the area with several colors and then I mixed them and so on until I found what I wanted.
Then I moved on to the face, where I started with the eyes, here I also activated the symmetry tool, (quite useful by the way), and then I did the skin and the eyebrows. My version of this character is quite "macabre", the part of his face where the nose and mouth go, is completely part of his skull and what adheres his skin to the bones is that red thread.
Luego pasé a colorear, aquí hice una diferencia, utilicé un pincel nuevo para mí, que se llama "pincel conceptual", la mayor parte de la ilustración la hice con este pincel y un difuminador, a veces cambiaba la opacidad y el tamaño del pincel dependiendo de lo que quisiera hacer en la ilustración.
Ok!, cuando empecé a colorear empecé por el gorro, lo que hice con el pincel fue dar toques a la zona con varios colores y luego los mezclé y así hasta encontrar lo que quería.
Luego pasé a la cara, donde comencé con los ojos, aquí también activé la herramienta de simetría, (bastante útil por cierto), y luego hice la piel y las cejas. Mi versión de este personaje es bastante "macabra", la parte de su cara donde van la nariz y la boca, es completamente parte de su cráneo y lo que adhiere su piel a los huesos es ese hilo rojo.
I made the rest of her body and clothes, and continue with the background of that little window or portal behind her, what I did was to paint it in black, then in a layer with "Overexposure line (add)" fusion and the colors: yellow, orange, red and wine, I made a simulation of flames and to give that effect of small dots I used a mottled brush.
Realicé el resto de su cuerpo y vestimenta, y continue con el fondo de esa pequeña ventana o portal detrás de ella, lo que hice fue pintarla de negro, despues en una capa con fusión de "Sobreexposición línea (añadir)" y los colores: amarillo, naranja, rojo y vino, hice una simulación de llamas y para dar ese efecto de pequeños puntos utilice un pincel moteado.
I made the A's around her, and added tattoos: a mandala, dice, a snake and a small phrase, which is: "It was more fun in hell"
Realicé las A's al rededor de ella, y le añadí tatuajes: una mandala, dados, una serpiente y una pequeña frase, la cual es: "Era más divertido en el infierno".
Then I added some shadows in some areas with "multiply" blend layers and lighting with "soft glow" layers. To finish in her eyes I highlighted the red color with "strong light" blending and added two more letters with the #splinterlands logo.
Luego agregué un poco de sombras en algunas áreas con capas de fusión "multiplicar" e iluminación con capas de "brillo suave". Para finalizar en sus ojos resalte el color rojo con fusión "luz fuerte" y le añadí dos cartas más con el logo de #splinterlands.
