Hello dear @alienarthive community, How are you? 👋🤠
This time I'm sharing my entry for the @splinterlands art contest.
For this illustration, I used the card "Angel of Light." I really liked its angelic aura since I rarely create illustrations of this type; I usually focus on darker themes 😅
I encountered many issues with this drawing, and I even abandoned it several times because it wasn't turning out the way I wanted. However, yesterday I decided to finish it, and I must say, I'm very happy with the result.

En esta ocasión les comparto mi participación para el concurso de arte de @splinterlands
Para esta ilustración utilicé la carta Angel of light, me gustó mucho su aura angelical ya que casi nunca hago ninguna ilustración de este tipo, sino más bien cosas más oscuras 😅
Tuve muchos problemas con este dibujo, incluso lo abandoné varias veces porque no me salía como quería, hasta ayer que me decidí a terminarlo y la verdad quedé muy contento con el resultado.

Step 1.-
For the sketch, I didn't really have much trouble. At first, I thought about creating a comic-style illustration, but then I decided to make things more complicated for myself, and that's when the problem started as I wanted to go for a semi-realistic look 😂

Even though I knew I was going for that style, I didn't do the lineart as I usually do, and I think that made it more difficult for me. However, I did add the base colors right away.

Paso 1.-
Para el boceto realmente no tuve mucha complicación, ya que al principio pensé hacer una ilustración tipo comic, pero se me ocurrió complicarme la vida y ahí fue donde se desató el problema al querer realizar algo semi realista 😂
Incluso al saber que iba a irme por ese estilo no hice el lineart como siempre y creo que eso me dificultó más, lo que si hice fue de una vez agregar los colores base.

Step 2.-
While I was painting, I noticed how the character of light was transforming into something a bit dark, haha! So, I redesigned the face and tried not to make it as macabre as it was becoming. It's worth mentioning that there was at least a week between one drawing and the other because I literally abandoned it and even considered not finishing it.

Paso 2.-
Mientas iba pintando notaba como convertía este personaje de luz a algo un poco oscuro jaja así que rediseñé el rostro y traté de no hacerlo tan macabro como iba quedando, cabe recalcar que hubo por lo menos una semana entre un dibujo y otro porque literalmente lo abandoné e incluso pensé en no terminarlo.

Step 3.-

In the end, I dedicated quite a bit of time to the shadows and lights because I was genuinely enjoying the process. For the wings, I decided not to add feathers that were too prominent. I found it much more interesting to do it this way, so I only added a few wings floating in the sky.

Paso 3.-
Al final le dedique bastante tiempo a las sombras y luces porque en serio lo estaba disfrutando ahora, y para las alas decidí no agregar plumas tan a la vista, me parecía mucho mas interesante hacerlo de esta forma solo agregué unas cuantas alas flotando por el cielo

Finally, the only thing left was to add the background, and I wanted to create a mix of light and darkness. I feel that picking up the drawing after several days was worth it in the end. I loved the result!

Por ultimo solo quedaba añadir el fondo y quise hacer una mezcla entre luz y oscuridad siento que retomar el dibujo después de varios días, al final si valió la pena, me encantó el resultado.
