Today, I share my entry for the Splinterlands Art Contest Week 275
This time, I chose a somewhat different card, Gobalano Soldier. I really liked his mafia gangster look, reminiscent of the Peaky Blinders series, so I decided to take the illustration in that direction. Without further ado, let me walk you through the process 😁.

Esta vez me incliné por una carta algo distinta, Gobalano Soldier, me gustó mucho su aspecto de gangster mafioso, me recuerda a la serie de Peaky Blinders, así que decidí llevar la ilustración por ese rumbo

As I mentioned before, I wanted to give it a style from that era of the series, the 1920s or something similar. I tried to give it an unfriendly appearance and a sinister touch. I don't think he's a leader, but definitely someone of high rank 😅

Como lo comentaba antes quería darle un estilo de esa década de la serie, 1920 o algo por el estilo
Traté de darle un aspecto poco amigable y un toque siniestro, no creo que un líder pero de algún rango alto definitivamente si 😅

After having a clear idea, I applied the base colors and started rendering right away. Lately, I feel that painting in this way is a bit easier. The downside is that a few days ago, I tried to make my drawings with lineart, and it was quite challenging, haha. I think I'll have to switch it up from time to time to not lose the practice 😪

Luego de tener clara la idea, apliqué los colores base y de una vez empecé a renderizar, últimamente siento que es un poco más fácil pintar de esta forma
Lo malo es que hace unos dias intenté hacer mis dibujos con lineart y se me complicó mucho jaja creo que tendré que variar de vez en cuando para no perder la práctica 😪

Before finishing the rendering, I decided to create the background since I wanted to highlight the character. It was a bit challenging because I wanted to give it an illuminated tone in sepia or yellowish hues, but the character, having those colors, got a bit lost. In the end, I think I found the right balance where I didn't lose the mood, and I managed to highlight it as I wanted

Antes de terminar el renderizado opté por hacer el fondo, ya que queria destacar al personaje, fue un poco difícil ya que quería darle un tono iluminado en tonos sepias o amarillos, pero el personaje al tener esos colores se perdía un poco, al final creo que encontré el punto en donde no perder el mood y que si logre destacar como quería
