Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Free Wins Galore!

Time flies! Just completed the 119th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Staying In Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I decided to stick to what I fought in the last fray, which was Fray 6, which was 3/2/2/1. I felt I was starting to find my grove and this fray is neither too difficult nor too easy for me.

Had 8 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 4th!!!

So for the final result, we were 4th out of 9 guilds and got 592 Merits and around 16 SPS! That's an incredible amount of SPS!!!

Individually, I had 8 fights this time and I managed to win 6 of them this time! Finished 2nd within the guild!

Let's jump into the battles!

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Kotriphus Bayne

This was a really tough battle with both teams putting out all the right cards for this complicated ruleset. Both teams put out Disintegrator to disadvantage their opponent and included Drybone Raider for his 4 attacks. The difference in my view, was Astral Entity, which made my opponent miss a lot of crucial hits and that increased the survivability of my team. In the end, it was enough to edge this win.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Captain Katie

What an awesome win for this one! Nailed the strategy perfectly as Iziar absorbed all my opponent's Magic attacks. Ended the battle with my full team standing against such a strong team. Credit to my opponent for the competitive fight, but at the same time, extremely proud of my team.

Battle 3 - WIN

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver

What a battle!!! Both teams were equally matched I would say but I think my positioning of the cards was slightly better and won by the sequencing of the attacks. Both teams had crazy amounts of damage output and it was due to consistency and sequencing. In terms of this battle's performance, Nerissa Tridawn delivered most of the crucial hits so she gets the MVP.

Battle 5 - WIN

Another opponent fled! Yay!

Battle 6 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Kotriphus Bayne

Came out short in this battle. Was held up by my opponent's Legionnaire Alvar at the backline and the delay proved to be too costly and I was unable to turn things around.

Gladius Card Used: Gorth and Chimney Wallstop

Wow what on earth is this? Not complaining of course. Will take this "free win".

Battle 8 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Witch Of Warwick

This was so painful to watch. Once again, it's a loss because I didn't have Quora Towershead. So frustrating.
