Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - How Many Quoras Do I Have To Fight?

Time flies! Just completed the 111th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

• Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

• Staying In Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I decided to stick to what I fought in the last fray, which was Fray 6, which was 3/2/2/1. I felt I was starting to find my grove and this fray is neither too difficult nor too easy for me.

Had 7 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

• We Got 3rd!!!

So for the final result, we were 3rd out of 9 guilds and got 754 Merits and around 13 SPS!

Individually, I had 7 fights this time and I managed to win only 4 of them this time! Finished 7th within the guild!

Let's jump into the battles!

Battle 1 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

There was just no way in this battle to handle Quora Towershead boosted with Opportunity. After 50 Gladius cases, I still can't get a single Quora Towershead and it's kinda frustrating to lose battles like these.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Cutter Brieze

I actually made a mistake in this brawl - I picked the wrong summoner. I should have gone with Fernheart. Fortunately, the mistake didn't prove costly, and a Martyr boosted Drybone Raider was enough to clear the path while the rest of the team playing the support role.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

Oh my, yet another Quora Towershead to fight. But you won't be able to guess the result. I actually won this battle with all 6 cards standing intact! Apart from my team selection, I had to thank my lucky stars as the Scattershot was really very well scattered! Kudos to Goblin Psychic for grinding 2 Magic damage per round and healing the tank!

Opponent fled! Lol!

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Captain Katie

This was a 99 mana battle but as you could see, both teams were very restricted by the ruleset and we didn't exactly field extremely big cards. I put out my best combination and fortunately my depth was enough to win this comfortably.

Battle 6 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Witch Of Warwick

This battle went all wrong. Both teams tried to make use of Martyr but my team had a lot of difficulties handling the opposing Diemonshark which had a speed of 6. Lots of hits missed and those misses were costly enough to tumble away.

Battle 7 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Captain Katie

What a close battle! I fielded what I thought was a strong lineup, but unfortunately, my opponent had an equally strong lineup, if not strong. It was down to the battle rounds and we matched each other across the first couple of rounds. Eventually, I came up slightly short.

MVP: None

So that sums up my 7 battles for this brawl! A 57% win rate, definitely room for improvement! Hopefully I can get one Quora Towershead soon!
