Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - We Win, We Lose, And We Persevere!

Time flies! Just completed the 122nd brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

• Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

• Staying In Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I decided to stick to what I fought in the last fray, which was Fray 6, which was 3/2/2/1. I felt I was starting to find my grove and this fray is neither too difficult nor too easy for me.

Had 6 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

• We Got 4th!!

So for the final result, we were 4th out of 9 guilds and got 538 Merits and around 14 SPS! That's an incredible amount of SPS!!!

Individually, I had 6 fights this time and I only managed to win 2 of them this time! Finished a lowly 8th within the guild!

Battle 1 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

My lineup was pretty decent in my view but here came Usut in the opponent's lineup and there was no way I could overcome that Legendary monster.

Battle 2 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Witch Of Warwick

This was so painful to watch. I lost because I didn't have Quora Towershead (after more than 50 Gladius packs!!!) and I have lost count the number of times I had to lose battles because of this. Sigh.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

After two tough battles, I finally returned to winning ways. A solid lineup with Venator Kinjo blocking the Blast attacks and Isgald Vorst accumulated enough Bloodlust to seal this win.

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver and Isgald Vorst

In this Melee fight, both teams put strong Melee hitters and fortunately I had Disintegrator and the Demoaralise ability was enough to weaken my opponent, allowing my team to hit harder and quicker. Phew.

Battle 5 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

This was yet another painful match to watch. Lasting over 10+ rounds, my team was hunted by the opposing Lira The Dark and in the end, my Astral Entity didn't provide any advantage because my opponent matched the summoner choice as well. Outwitted in this one.

Battle 6 - None

Gladius Card Used: Katrelba Gobson

I never fared well against Possibilus the Wise lineups in my ranked battles and this was no exception. It was very hard to overcome the Possibilus the Wise/Coastal Sentry pairing and my decent lineup was no match unfortunately.

So that sums up my 6 battles for this brawl! A 33% win rate, so room for improvement in the next one!
