Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Yodin Zaku Forms A Deadly Partnership With Ifrit Rising!

Time flies! Just completed the 26th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Staying In Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I decided to stick to what I fought in the last fray, which was Fray 6, which was 3/2/2/1. I felt I was starting to find my grove and this fray is neither too difficult nor too easy for me. Had only 5 battles this time and my good performance continued!

  • We Got 3rd!

So for the final result, we maintained our podium this time, finished 3rd out of 10 guilds and got 485 Merits!

Individually, I had 5 fights this time, I managed to win 4! Ended up 2nd within the guild! Woohoo!

Let's jump into the battles!

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Orella Abadon

Antoid Platoon proved to be main obstacle and my opponent had a lot of trouble trying to clear it. Comfortable win this time with 5 cards all standing at the end, and Antoid Platoon thoroughly deserved its first MVP in brawls.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Witch Of Warwick

Witch of Warwick got her first match as a Level 2 Gladius card (finally was able to combine and level up after multiple Gladius packs) and her Magic attacks were very effective in hunting down the opposing Living Lava. Credit to Pelacor Deceiver as well for clocking misses with 4 Speed and Flying. Once the opposing Living Lava went down, it was over.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Chimney Wallstop

Even with Broken Arrows, I still went with a Yodin Zaku lineup and packed my team with Melee and Magic cards. Chimney Wallstop and Ifrit Rising dealt heavy damage when added with Blast and that was enough to overcome a strong lineup on the opposing end, which featured Grum Flameblade and Ifrit Rising as well.

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Gorth

This was an extremely tough fight against a Chanseus The Great lineup. With Triage, Repair and Resurrect, together with Venari Crystalsmith, the opponent was tough to break down. It would never be possible if not for the extra Blast attacks! Special shoutout to Ifrit Rising for the 6 Magic damage, which bypassed Repair and could instantly take down cards before they get healed.

Battle 5 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver

When I saw Scarred Llama Mage and Quora Towershead on the opposing lineup, I knew this was going to be a loss. To my surprise, Relenor Cleaver managed to get Bloodlust going and clocked 3 within a few rounds. For a moment, I thought I had a chance with Relenor Cleaver dealing 7 Melee damage, but the Last Stand for Quora Towershead turned it into a monster and there was nothing I could do.

So that sums up my 5 battles for this brawl! Really happy with the result!
