5th Splinterlands Season & Giveaway!
So have you guys heard about the new updates regarding rewards? If I'm being honest, I'm not too happy, because it means I won't be able to earn DEC from chests unless I move up to silver. I don't know why I've been struggling the past few seasons :( Because I really don't mind spending DEC for renting out cards, but I guess I just haven't been putting in that much effort into the game. So let's try to do better this season!!
Anyways, I just made Bronze II last season. 😬 I know I can do better, but again, I just haven't been playing much.

I'm still not convinced renting yourself up is the way to go anyway. I've only got the CP for Silver III and still a fair ways away from the 40k CP for silver II so I get kicked back to Bronze after every season still myself. Who knows Maybe since they're credits, they'll be generous enough with them that we'll be able to afford to buy cards easier. Maybe it could work out for the best.
In any event, thanks for the opportunity, I'll be glad to take all the help I can get gaining CP in any form. @half-fast
My very first season I was able to make it to Silver I! Admittedly, it was a struggle to keep up the power, but the amount earned in the higher leagues was worth it for me 😅 but for now just renting what's useful to get me to higher leagues, before I really rent for power
I started in June. I did it the painful way without renting because I didn't want to deal with peakmonsters at the time. Now that renting came to the SL interface, after having rentals yanked out from under me, I now only rent on the last day balancing between prices and the amount of chests I'd get from it. So I'm back to a buy > rent philosophy and look for and snag decent deals when I find them.

I can see how the struggles come by, as for me i'm just lucky because i got 3 legendaries so far and 2 are gold foils so i can rent them out to offset. But make every DEC count and rent out daily, and take advantage of the DEC spike at the end of the season especially!

A few days newbie here and also in bronze. I don't know how to read the market on which cards to pick to buy as I am seeing renting is just a no-go given that you don't own it. Hopefully, we get a bit lucky with the daily chests. @tutix
Renting is such a good feature in my opinion! Mostly I use it for power, but I do rent specific cards that I always use also

Am a working parent with kids so not much time to play. I pick up a few fights here and there when time permitted. Last season I was able to earn 1-2 Dec per win. At end of season I made about 60dec. Now am getting .01-.05dec per win. I'll be lucky if I make it to 30 Dec by end of this season.
Just keep at it! Eventually you find a strategy that works for you and you can earn even more per win!
I hope the devs can adjust credits reward.
