I've been at least since Saturday involved in a very nice project, which began with such a simple idea, but in the end I was motivated to make it a little bigger, for that reason I was lost here, but at least it was worth it and maybe soon you can see it in my profile.

This week I wanted to do something interesting for the weekly Splinterlands community contest. This time I made a fanart where two cards fight! It looks amazing, I had already been inspired by seeing amazing artists who had already done this, and I thought it was awesome to enter there too. Here we can find the Dumacke Exile and Jared Scar card fighting. Dumacke is like a sword and shield warrior, who to me looks quite stylish, this one has a very strong look and features that make him intimidating. Jared Scar on the other hand, keeps a slightly friendlier appearance, sporting an awesome metal bat and a big fat belly, hahaha. Although let's not get carried away by appearances, hippos might look very cute but they are ruthless killers and very strong! That's why when making this fanart I wanted to highlight those things. Although I let myself get a little more carried away from Jared by doing it in a more aggressive way. Without further ado, let's get to the process!

Dumacke Exile

Step by step:

I started with the sketch. First I positioned Dumacke in a corner of the sheet, in a sideways position to the right. Now Jared, here what I did was to look for some reference where a body would be thrown in an attack position and I followed the position to make the character.

After I had a good sketch that I would like I started to outline the characters. I used several markers and was doing the outlining of the lines of the sketch.

Here I start adding the colors. I start with a tan skin tone for Dumacke, for that I use brown and brick red and a little pink. For the hair I use brown and dark brown, and the eyes I draw them with a yellowish green tone. Then I continue with the clothing and the sword, the metal suit would be silver, and the material that covers the arms, navy blue and dark blue. Let's continue with the shield. I used red and magenta for the bands that hold the shield to the arm, and black and silver for the rest of the shield.

I drew Jared's skin with gray and then with the same color I used shading. For the teeth I used the flesh color and on top I applied brown color, and the tongue I colored it with red. For the shoulder pads and part of the bat, I used silver, but to the shoulder pads with a black color I added some details of spots. For the suit I used the brown color and on top I applied the dark brown color. For the straps on the forearms I decided to use brick red, as I did for the belt. For the boots it was almost the same, only I used a little bit of flesh color to soften the brown tone so it would look lighter. And last but not least, for the cape I used violet.

I wanted to make a good background, something nice, so I came up with one of these ancient battle arenas, this a little bit because of the warrior character of Dumacke. And also I looked for some references of apocalyptic type red skies and I put together several of them, they were really good.

That was the result. I must say that I spent quite a lot of time on this drawing, more because of the amount of things I'm wanting to add to these drawings. What did you think? I'll be reading your comments!

Hola gente bonita, bienvenidos a un nuevo post. ¿Cómo se encuentran? Espero que bastante bien, yo estoy bien y muy feliz por el post de hoy.

Llevaba por lo menos desde el sábado metido en un proyecto muy bonito, el cuál empezó por una idea tan simple, pero que al final me motivo a hacerlo un poco más grande, por esa razón andaba perdido por acá, pero al menos valío la pena y que tal vez, dentro de poco lo puedan ver en mi perfil.

Esta semana quise hacer algo interesante para el concurso semanal de la comunidad de Splinterlands. Está vez hice un fanart en dónde dos cartas pelean! Parece asombroso, ya me había inspirado viendo increíbles artista que ya habían hecho esto, y me parecía increíble entrar ahí también. Aquí podemos encontrar la carta de Dumacke Exile y Jared Scar luchando. Dumacke es como un guerrero de espada y escudo, que a mí parecer, con bastante estilo, este tiene una mirada muy fuerte y rasgos que lo vuelven intimidante. Jared Scar por otro lado, guarda una apariencia un poco más amigable, luciendo un asombroso bate de metal y una gran panzota, jajaja. Aunque no nos dejemos llevar por apariencias, los hipopótamos podrían parecer muy lindo pero son asesinos despiadados y muy fuertes! Por eso al realizar este fanart quise resaltar esas cosas. Aunque dejándome llevar un poco más de Jared al hacerlo en un modo más agresivo. Sin mas vueltas, vayamos con el proceso!

Paso a Paso:

Empecé por el boceto. Primero posicione a Dumacke en una esquina de la hoja, en una posición de lado hacia la derecha. Ahora Jared, aquí lo que hice fue buscar alguna referencia dónde un cuerpo se lanzará en posición de ataque y seguí la posición para hacer el personaje.

Despues de tener un buen boceto que me gustaría empecé a delinear a los personajes. Use varios marcadores y fue haciendo el remarque de las líneas del boceto.

Aquí empiezo a añadir los colores. Empiezo por un tono de piel moreno para Dumacke, para eso utilizo el color café y rojo ladrillo y un poco de rosa. Para el pelo use el color café y marrón oscuro, y los ojos los dibujé con un tono de verde amarillento. Luego sigo por la vestimenta y la espada, el traje de metal iría de color plateado, y el material que cubre los brazos, de azul marino y azul oscuro. Sigamos por el escudo. Usé el color rojo y el magenta para las bandas que sujetan el escudo al brazo, y el color negro y plateado para el resto del mismo.

La piel de Jared la dibujé con el color gris y así con el mismo color fui dando sombreado. Para los dientes usé el color carne y encima apliqué color marrón, y la lengua la coloree con el rojo. Para las hombreras y parte del bate, usé el color plateado, pero a las hombreras con un color negro agregué unos detalles de manchas. Para el traje usé el color café y encima apliqué el color marrón oscuro. Para las tiras que tiene en los antebrazos decidí usar el color rojo ladrillo, al igual como para el cinturón. Para las botas fue casi igual, solo que usé un poco de color carne para suavizar el tono café y así se viera más clarito. Y como última cosa, para la capa usé el color violeta.

Quería hacer un buen fondo, algo bien, por eso se me ocurrió una de estas arenas de batalla antiguas, esto un poco por el personaje guerrero de Dumacke. Y también busqué algunas referencias de cielos rojos tipo apocalípticos y junté varios, la verdad quedaron muy bien.

Ese fue el resultado. Debo decir que dedique bastante tiempo a este dibujo, más por la cantidad de cosas que estoy queriendo agregar a estos dibujos. ¿Que les pareció? Estare leyendo sus comentarios!
