I'm dropping by today, to demo one of my new drawings. It's a fanart for the weekly Splinterlands community contest. For this occasion I decided to use as inspiration the character of Iza the Fanged, this drawing I decided to do using the technique of watercolor drawing on paper. She is a girl, who lives in the jungle and has a great ability to control the tree vines to use it to her advantage, in her work of eating humans. The characteristics that caught my attention of her were her clothes, this is like that of a ballet dancer, she has green colors, which go very well with her appearance, fangs and the beautiful mark of a snake that she has on her body, it's like a tattoo, I think it's spectacular!

Rumors are spreading in the villages that if you go too far into the jungles of Azmare, Iza the Fanged will get you. She doesn't use her fangs or her teeth to grab you, but the jungle itself. She will drag you into a deep cave and place you in front of her to serve as her dinner or toy, depending on her mood.

Here is the procedure of the drawing.

Procedure:.

To begin with I made the sketch. For this drawing I looked for several references of dancers, and I made it in a position similar to those that these usually have.

I started by painting the skin, for this I prepared some skin color and gave a couple of coats of paint. The sheet of this block was a little thin, so I took care of the humidity of the brush so as not to make the paper sheet rise so much, although it is a little inevitable that this happens if you don't use a cardboard completely suitable for this technique. Then I added the shadows with ochre, and some brown. The eyes I painted with a yellowish green.

Now it was time to draw the sleeves. I mixed some light green and olive green to paint. One of the things I liked to do the most was the hair, for the hair I mixed dark blue (this blue I used, naturally it had a very beautiful intensity) then I mixed it with some black and painted giving different intensity and contrasts.

Then finish painting the rest of your clothes. I used the color black, in a lighter tone, then applying several layers of the color I was creating a stronger tone and I was adding the shadows and details.

Almost to finish I added a background of a forest with a couple of trees, grass and a path. This is what I liked to do the most. And to finish the drawing I outlined the whole character.

This is how my drawing would look finished. Actually making this drawing was an amazing experience. I felt like the time flew by while I was drawing, although I did spend a good couple of hours on the whole thing. I hope you liked it!

Hoy paso por acá, para hacer demostración de uno de mis nuevos dibujos. Se trata de un Fan-art para el concurso semanal de la comunidad de Splinterlands. Para esta ocasión decidí usar como inspiración el personaje de Iza the Fanged, este dibujo decidí hacerlo usando la técnica de dibujo de acuarelas sobre papel. Ella es una chica, que vive entre la jungla y tiene una gran habilidad de poder controlar las lianas y árboles para usarlos a su favor, en su labor de irse comiendo a los humanos. Las características que mas me llamaron la atención de ella fueron su vestimenta, esta es como la de una bailarina de ballet, tiene los colores verdes, que le van muy bien con su apariencia, colmillos y la hermosa marca de una serpiente que tiene en su cuerpo, es como un tatuaje, me parece espectacular!

Los rumores se extienden en las aldeas de que si te adentras demasiado en las junglas de Azmare, Iza the Fanged te atrapará. Ella no usa sus colmillos ni sus dientes para agarrarte, sino la propia jungla. Te arrastrará a una cueva profunda y te colocará frente a ella para que le sirvas de cena o de juguete, según su estado de ánimo.

Aquí les dejo el procedimiento del dibujo.

Proceso:

Para empezar hice el boceto. Para este dibujo busque varias referencia de bailarinas, y la hice en una posición similar a las que estas suelen tener.

Empecé por pintar la piel, para esto prepare un poco de color piel y di un par de capas de pintura. La hoja de este block era un poco delgada, por lo que cuidaba la humedad del pincel para no hacer que la hoja de papel se levante tanto, aunque es un poco inevitable que esto pase si no se usa una cartulina del todo adecuada para esta técnica. Luego agregue las sombras con ocre, y algun marron. Los ojos los pinte con un verde amarillento.

Ahora tocaba dibujar las mangas. Mezcle un poco de verde claro y verde oliva para pintar. Una de las cosas que mas me gusto hacer fue el pelo, para el pelo mezcle el azul oscuro (este azul que use, naturalmente tenia una intensidad muy hermosa) luego lo mezcle con un poco de negro y pinte dando diferente intensidad y contrastes.

Después termine de pintar el resto de su ropa. Use el color negro, en un tono mas claro, después aplicando varias capas del color iba creando un tono mas fuerte e iba añadiendo las sombras y detalles.

Casi para terminar añadí un fondo de un bosque con un par de arboles, césped un camino. Esto fue lo que mas me gusto hacer. Y para terminar el dibujo delinee todo el personaje.

Así es como quedaría terminado mi dibujo. Realmente hacer este dibujo fue una experiencia increíble. Sentí como se me pasó el tiempo volando mientras dibujaba, aunque si dedique un buen par de horas a todo esto. Espero que les haya gustado!
