The Gelatinous cube still rules

avatar

Cards come, and cards keep on coming but the gelatinous cube still rules. It does not just exist in the background nor is it just a card from the past. I will share a battle to show you how the cube still saves me even if all the modern cards try to destroy the most competent cards but the cube is like the steady captain who will stay till the last and try with all his might to save the ship.

You can click this image to view the battle and see how the cube has managed to win the battle that otherwise would have been a defeat had not the cube been involved.

Read the Lore

One night when the moons were full, the renegades of the Lunta Kalna performed a secret and powerful ritual. Their ceremony called forth forces of wind, rain and hail; for the first time ever in recorded history, there was a hailstorm in Draykh-Nahka. Except it wasn’t only hail that fell from the sky that night. There were also a small number of strange Cubes that seemed to be alive. They have the look of ice, but upon contact with most objects, the surface of the Cube turns to jelly and absorbs the object, rather noisily. It is assumed that this is how the Cubes eat. When attacked, Gelatinous Cubes can make their outer shell as hard as solid ice for a short time. They can also alter their size to some degree, swelling up and increasing their power, depending on how much they have absorbed that day.

I sure would not like to meet this cube in real life though. I do think it would be easy and interesting to make a cube cake and hope our splinterlands players who are also bakers try making it. Just pile square-shaped sponge cakes and cover them with light green icing and insert a few objects to showcase the stuff the cube has absorbed.

Maybe we can have a cake contest as well. I hope I can try to create a contest and get some prize sponsors as well.

Ah....good ol Cubee. That was my go to card for poison before all the CL cards flooded the market. Haven't played Wild in ages, so never played it for a while. But still goodie!
