Greetings dear friends.
I am very happy to be once again with you in the splinterlands weekly art contest.
For this opportunity I bring you an idea that I already saw in several artists, and it is the change of gender of a character or create a new one from an existing one.
I wanted to see it as a personal challenge and squeeze my creativity to the max.
The character I chose was Doctor Blight, which raises many doubts, because we do not know what is the color of his skin or hair.
Another change was the costume, yes I know with that neckline it wouldn't be functional at all, but doesn't it look cool and sexy?
I would like to know your opinion about this kind of change, because I have a lot of ideas for several characters in the game and I would like to try them.

Saludos estimados amigos.
Estoy muy feliz de estar una vez más con ustedes en el concurso de arte semanal de splinterlands.
Para esta oportunidad les traigo una idea que ya vi en varios artistas, y es el cambio de género de un personaje o crear uno nuevo partir de uno ya existente.
Quise verlo como un reto personal y exprimir mi creatividad al máximo.
El personaje que elegí fue Doctor Blight, lo que me plantea muchas dudas, pues no sabemos cuál es el color de su piel o cabello.
Otro de los cambios fue el traje, si si ya lo sé con ese escote no sería para nada funcional, pero, acaso, ¿no se ve muy genial y sexy?
Quisiera saber su opinión sobre este tipo de cambio, pues tengo muchas ideas para varios personajes del juego y me gustaría intentarlas.

Process/Proceso

We started the sketch with the basic shape of the character, here you can see in the background that I had the idea of adding a window or something similar, but I thought that a closed room would be much more mysterious.

Iniciamos el boceto con la forma básica del personaje, aquí se puede ver en el fondo que tenía la idea de agregar una ventana o algo parecido, Pero pensé que una habitación cerrada seria mucho mas misteriosa.

When we finished the sketch we move on to create the lineart, here you can better appreciate everything I left of the character, I also wanted to leave the background wall without so many details.

Al terminar el boceto pasamos a crear el lineart, aqui se puede apreciar mejor todo lo que deje del personaje, también quise dejar la pared del fondo sin tantos detalles.

We apply the base colors of the character, I like to leave a sample with the possible shades of shadows and lights, with that I get an idea of how they will be at the time of applying them.
Before applying the shadows I like to delimit where the strongest lights will be.

Aplicamos los colores base del personaje, me gusta dejar una muestra con los posibles tonos de sombras y luces, con eso me doy una idea de como quedaran al momento de aplicarlos.
Antes de aplicar las sombras me gusta delimitar donde estarán las luces más fuertes.

These shadows have two shades, one of them is a bit reddish and the other is a bit darker and not so saturated.
For the clothes were variants of black and a little bit of blue, the truth is that I find it difficult to use such dark tones "the monitor of my computer does not look quite right".

Estas sombras tienen dos tonos, uno de ellos es un tanto rojizo y el otro algo mas oscuro y no tan saturado.
Para la ropa fueron variantes de negro y un poquito de azul, la verdad se me dificulta los tonos tan oscuros "el monitor de mi computadora no se ve del todo bien"

We continue applying shadows and lights in the rest of the character, one of the details that I want to highlight is that I changed the skull of the cane for a gold one.

Seguimos aplicando sombras y luces en el resto del personaje, uno de los detalles que quiero resaltar es que cambie el cráneo del bastón por una de oro.

For the background and other objects, we take into account that the main light source is the lamp.

Para el fondo y resto de objetos tenemos en cuenta que la mayor fuente de luz es la lámpara

Finally, we applied some textures to the background and a soft glow with yellow tones to simulate the light of the lamp.

Finalmente, aplicamos algunas texturas al fondo y un suave brillo con tonos amarillo para simular a la luz de la lampara.
