Welcome to my 15th #BrawlReport as part of the @hive.pizza PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish guild!

I'm back in the action this time and entered Fray #3, the Untamed novice fray which has all level 1 monster limits.

I managed to take 1st place for our guild in this brawl, winning 5 of my 6 battles for a win rate of 83%.

PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish Results

We finished in 3rd place with a total of 29 wins and 26 losses which earned us 87 points. We also earned 9 crowns and 415 merits for our 3rd place finish. There were some very interesting guild team names, but I'm glad to say we beat the Booty Lickers and Cock Poggers lol!

My Battles

Battle 1 - Win

Unprotected: Monsters do not have any armor and do not get armor from abilities or summoner buffs.
Earthquake: Non-flying monsters take 2 melee damage at the end of each round.

This was the first battle I got to use my new Gladius cards!

The Magnor in the tank position absorbed all of my opponent's attacks while my Orella Abadon and Tower Griffin were able to use my Summoner's blast ability to quickly clear out my opponent's lineup.

Battle 2 - Win

Earthquake: Non-flying monsters take 2 melee damage at the end of each round.
Melee Mayhem: Melee attack monsters can attack from any position.

I relied again on my Summoner's blast ability and Magnor in the tank position to allow the back row of my lineup to clear out my opponent's back row quickly. Even with their +1 shields, the blast ability allowed me to tear them down quicker.

Battle 3 - Win

Opponent fled.

Battle 4 - Win

Heavy Hitters: All monsters have the knock out ability.
Taking Sides: Neutral monsters may not be used in battles.

This is the first battle of this brawl that I unleashed the Llama/Kron combo. Kron being the last monster standing was able to take out all three of my opponent's monsters.

Battle 5 - Win

Holy Protection: All monsters have the Divine Shield ability.
Reverse Speed: Monsters with the lowest speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks.

This battle is 21 Mana and allowed me to use either Fire or Earth splinters so my Yodin or Llama was a Summoner option. I decided to go with the Llama/Kron combo here hoping that my opponent would not be able to counter it with only 21 mana available.

Thankfully, my opponent's lineup did not have any magic defenses and I was able to clear them out quickly.

Battle 6 - Loss

Equal Opportunity: All monsters have the Opportunity ability.
Equalizer: The initial health of all monsters is equal to that of the monster on either team with the highest base health.

I knew I would be in trouble with this battle when the restrictions showed on the screen and the only splinter allowed is Life. I didn't rent any specific Life Untamed cards for this brawl and ended up relying on a Shieldbearer tank and hoped my magic attack would take them out. The problem is that the Equalizer buff boosted the health of all their monsters and just made it too hard for me to take them out with only 1 magic attack for each of my monsters.

Final Thoughts

This is one of my best brawl performances and I was nearly able to go undefeated until that last battle with the very restrictive battle rules.

One thing I have to do for these Untamed brawls is rent a handful of cards, especially Yodin Zaku, Scarred Llama Mage, and Kron the Undying. These cards were slightly more expensive for this brawl because it overlapped with the end of the season.

Stay tuned for my end of season report in the coming days too.

1Up Project

If you haven't seen the news yet, check out the new 1UP project. This looks like a great new gaming project for Play2Earn blockchain games like Splinterlands! I seem to be getting more than 100 OneUp tokens on each of these posts, so the earnings will add up over time!

What is the @hive.pizza #BrawlReport?

@kennysgaminglife has spearheaded the #BrawlReport project as a way to get PIZZA guild members more engaged in the @Splinterlands community. Here's what he had to say:

Starting with the brawl that just ended, I've invited/asked members of the #HivePizza guild to publish a #BrawlReport, breaking down their highs & lows, where they need help, questions they have, strategies they love, and so on. The idea is to help us all reflect a bit, learn a bit, share a bit, earn a bit, and connect a bit :-)
Any other guilds interested in publishing a #BrawlReport, either as individuals, or one for the whole guild, I'm happy to send some curation love your way!
