Hello friends of Hive and Splinterlands. Today I give you a small illustration of Fungus Flinger for this week's Social Media Challenge, because what better idea than to generate fanart and new content of the game's characters to spread.

Next I will show you the step by step of this curious character.

I started by breaking down the base shapes of the character, mostly generated by circles and curves, and on this I started to make the small characteristic details of the letter like the mushrooms on his head and his seemingly slimy body. I used 2H pencil to sketch the drawing.

To highlight the drawing a little before coloring it, I went over it with a darker pencil (B). I wanted to apply ink but now I didn't have any material according to what I wanted to achieve and the size of the drawing, and I was a little afraid of damaging the result I got.

I started by applying an orange color in watercolor as a base, and then red for the mushrooms and the character's eyes.

With the same red color I refined the details of the character's skin, and then shaded a little with violet watercolor.

After the watercolors, I applied color with crayon pencils. With red tone I gave more dimension to the mushrooms, then I gave more life to the body of the character with pink tones, and with purple I applied more defined shadows to the character, as well as gave him more volume.

After I finished applying details with purple and orange, I added small glitters with cold white paint.
