Lorcan peered up at the night sky. Pulling the shemagh away from his mouth, he breathed in the cold air. The stars were unusually bright this night and he could trace the plough easily in the blackness between them. Glancing back at the spice train behind him, he waved them on and started down a long dune. The trading post was close.

He wasn’t even halfway down the slope when a cry arose from behind. Men shouting for people to take cover and to look out from above. He crouched beside his camel and stared wide-eyed at the sky, desperately looking for any danger. But all he could see was a shooting star, trailing above them. Then to his astonishment it turned in the air and started to descend on their position. Moments later the crystal shards came and all chaos was let loose.

Explosions lit up the trading caravan, bright flashes of light as crystal missiles were indiscriminately flung in all directions. Screams of the wounded and dying filled the night air, and panicked animals struggled to break free of their harnesses to escape the disorder. Lorcan managed to glimpse two white burning eyes and a mouthful of long fangs as the hostile creature flew by. And then it was gone again, as quickly as it had come, flying away through the night sky until it was merely a shimmering line across the blanket of night. But when Lorcan looked to his people again, they were in complete disarray, many of them lying dead on the cold sands.

Stats

Market prices

Most of the time, the gold epic version of this card is 10x more than the regular one. So you can buy a Level 3 for this price.

Not renting well as the regular one, but maxed level has not too bad rent value.

The Battle

Battle Rulesets	Description
HOLY PROTECTION	All Monsters have the Divine Shield ability.
CLOSE RANGE	Ranged attacks may be used in the first position in battles.

HOLY PROTECTION info: Monsters that normally have this ability do not get it twice. The trick to win in this ruleset is to fill all 6 slots of your line up and use monsters with Blast and Double Strike. Use a monster or summoner that has Resurrect to use this ruleset at its maximum potential.

CLOSE RANGE info: You can use high HP or high speed Ranged monsters at position 2 (or even at position 1 if it has Heal). Choose summoners that give a bonus to Ranged attack or to speed and then choose high damage Ranged attack monsters. Beware of the possibility that your opponent might pick Lir Deepswimmer as summoner or monsters with Return Fire. High HP and Heal is the way to go in this ruleset.

Lineup

It was a low mana closed range game, so ideal for the Gem Meteor?

	Gargoya Scrapper - The best ruleset for the General is Close Range so I think it is an ideal summoner for this game.
	Gargoya Scrapper - Only 1 mana left after select the other monsters, so I selected lastly this monster.
	Soul Fiend - 0 Mana monster of the game.
	Furious Chicken - The other 0 mana filler card.
	Gem Meteor - Monster of the week. I thought it will be a very good card for this game.
	Halfling Alchemist - One the unique monster of the game, halving ability is always a fantastic option.
	Xenith Archer - Another ranged dps monster for very low mana.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

I face with Level 3 Kron and I had no chance. I tried some different lineup but there were no chance to win this game :(

Do you like gold foil GEM METEOR? Why or why not?

The gold foil version is much more expensive than the regular one. So as I mentioned before I prefer regular one with higher level.
