This post is an entry to the SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! MAGI NECROSI

Overview

Magi Necrosi is a mid-mana (6) magic monster with camouflage. It is the higher mana death version of Djinn Biljka. I always love the magic monsters, especially with camou.

Stats

AbilitiesLevelDescription
SNIPE1Targets enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position
CAMOUFLAGE1This Monster cannot be targeted for attacks unless it's in the first position
OPPRESS4Does double damage when attacking an enemy that has no attacks
STUN6When a Monster with Stun hits a target, it has a chance to stun the target causing it to skip its next turn

Market prices

It is a cheap epic card. As most of the time gold foil version has a much more bigger price. I recommend buying Level 3 regular foil instead of the gold foil version. (From level 3 it has +1 magic damage)

For renting it is not a great card, only 20% ROI is achievable at the max level.

Battle RulesetsDescriptionInfo
BACK TO BASICSMonsters lose all abilities.Back row monsters are safe from enemy's Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity attacks. The ruleset places importance on Magic and Ranged attacks as melee attacks loose their ability to hit outside of the first position. Select monsters with high speed and choose a summoner that increases damage or defense against Magic or Ranged attacks. Lining up monsters in ascending order of their health is the way to go.
EVEN STEVENSOnly Monsters with even Mana costs may be used in battles. There are no special tricks for this ruleset, but having an idea of mana points of a few monsters helps in predicting what your opponent can and cannot use.
CLOSE RANGERanged attacks may be used in the first position in battles. You can use high HP or high speed Ranged monsters at position 2 (or even at position 1 if it has Heal). Choose summoners that give a bonus to Ranged attack or to speed and then choose high damage Ranged attack monsters. Beware of the possibility that your opponent might pick Lir Deepswimmer as summoner or monsters with Return Fire. High HP and Heal is the way to go in this ruleset.

Lineup

It was a mid-mana, closed range, back to the basic game. I tried to use high mana or magic monster mainly.

CardStrategy
Lux Vega - My all-time favorite summoner choice, especially in back to the basic games.
Harklaw - It is a good legendary reward card, that has good base stats for it is mana cost so I selected it as a main tank.
Revealer - Most of the time I selected magic monsters in back to the basic games. Revealer is a good fit for this.
Cornealus - Unluckily I only rent Level 1 version of Cornealus, If I had a higher level version maybe I had some chance to win.
Venari Bonesmith - Good mana-cost/value magic monster for my team.
Magi of Chaos - Ideal monster of every back to the basic games. Natural with good stats and magic damage. Compare with Necrosi it is an ideal fit for this games.
Magi Necrosi - Monster of the week. Good magic monster, but maybe I should select a better monster with greater stats.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Absolutely no. My enemy used a full gold foil Yodin team, in this rulesets I had no chance of defeating this team. I tried a few teams after the game, but I had no chance against Yodin.
