Splinterlands Art Contest Week 267 | [ESP/ENG] DARK FERRYMAN

Hola comunidad de Splinterlands.
En mi tercera participación, intenté replicar un diseño con la apariencia de una "portada de CD de rock", ya que tiene cierta similitud con "La Parca". Como se puede ver arriba, este fue el resultado. Permítanme explicar el proceso que llevó realizarlo.

PROCESS / PROCESO

Once I had the piece, I began by designing the main object. I started by coloring part of its skull black to remove it and then used a brush to create a circle with opacity, applying an orange glow or a similar tone to match the one on the reference card.

Una vez obtenida la pieza, comencé por diseñar el elemento principal. Primero, coloreé parte de su cráneo de negro para eliminarlo y luego usé un pincel para crear un círculo con opacidad y apliqué un resplandor naranja o un tono similar para que coincidiera con el de la carta que estaba usando como referencia.

For this image, I chose to further connect the circles since I found the initial arrangement uncomfortable, and I preferred to adjust them using the "lasso" tool.

Para esta imagen, decidí unir más los círculos, ya que me resultaba incómodo cómo quedaban, y preferí ajustarlos utilizando la herramienta "lazo".

For the lantern and boat section, I cut out pieces of textured wood and used them as a post to support the lantern. Then, I proceeded to place it, cover it, and remove any remaining parts that didn't fit the design.

Para la sección del farol y el bote, recorté maderas con textura y las utilicé como poste para sostener el farol. Luego, procedí a colocarlo, cubrirlo y eliminar las partes que quedaban sobrantes en el diseño.

Since the lantern has a glow, I was able to determine its location by using a cutout to represent the water, sea, or river. I also added a boat to provide perspective. To achieve the desired effect, I used a clipping mask and the "overlay" blending mode to apply the orange color around the boat and the ferryman figure, with the assistance of a black background.

Dado que el farol tiene un resplandor, pude precisar su ubicación utilizando un recorte para representar el agua, el mar o el río. También agregué un barco para darle perspectiva. Para lograr el efecto deseado, utilicé una máscara de recorte y el modo de fusión "superponer" para aplicar el color naranja alrededor del barco y la figura del barquero, ayudándome con un fondo negro.

BACKGROUND / FONDO

To add depth to the design, I used brushes to create a "fog" and play with the concept. I used a Halloween font for the word "FERRYMAN," and on top of it, I placed "DARK" in red with a glow, but it gave the impression of resembling a Netflix title, haha! I ended up changing it to purple.

Para darle profundidad al diseño, utilicé pinceles para crear una "niebla" y jugar con el concepto. Utilicé una fuente de Halloween para la palabra "FERRYMAN" y, encima de ella, coloqué "DARK" en rojo con un resplandor. Sin embargo, me dio la impresión de que parecía el título de una serie de Netflix, ¡jaja! Finalmente, opté por cambiar el color a morado.

Furthermore, the purple color would also complement the reference card. I used the "smudge" tool to create a blurring effect at the edges and in the background, there are some faint clouds with low opacity. As I progressed in the process, I was considering what else to add.

Además, el color morado también lograría ajustarse a la carta de referencia. Utilicé la herramienta "dedo" para darle un efecto de difuminación en las puntas y en el fondo, también se pueden ver algunas nubes con baja opacidad. Mientras avanzaba en el proceso, estaba pensando en qué más agregarle.

To conclude, I added the necessary icons: signature, logo, and the reference card. I didn't want to overload it with elements for a cover. Then, I added textures to complete the design, keeping the concept of a rock CD cover. I hope you enjoyed the process. Greetings!

Para finalizar, coloqué los iconos necesarios: firma, logo y la carta de referencia. No necesitaba una sobrecarga de elementos para una portada.
