SPLINTERLANDS ART CONTEST #260: My Lily Shieldpaw Art

Hello everyone! I'm here again to post my new art. I started drawing it a few weeks ago, and I have this habit of continuing and stopping drawing and coloring before I finish it, and I'm still feeling super shy about posting it here. But by the way, after a very, very long time, I finally decided to post and make this art as my Splinterlands Art Contest #260 entry.

For this week's art contest, I decided to draw the raccoon of Lily Shieldpaw as my entry

Well, because I find this colored red raccoon cute, and I wanted it to transform into something like half human and half raccoon. I know that this idea is not that easy for me to make, but I decided to continue and try my best.

ART PROCESS:

The first thing that I did was, of course, sketch her body and tail. As you can see, it's just pure flat, not round. I really didn't know how to sketch a body, though. I really tried it at first but failed. But nevermind! I will just make it look better by coloring and drawing the details later.

And because I was so excited to draw her hair, I decided to draw it after I sketched her body. I decided to make her hair long, and in my imagination, her hair was swaying because of the wind, but I decided to just draw it like that.

The most exciting thing for me sometimes when I draw is to color while my mind is floating. I don't know, but sometimes when my mind floats, I arrange the drawing well and get what I imagine, but when I take it seriously, I am disfigured by the result. By the way, I didn't change her body color because, like I said, I wanted to make her look like a half human and half raccoon, just like in the reference. It just looks easy, but in reality, I put on a lot of color layers and used brushes like chalk. pens fade, blur, and smudge before I could achieve the color of her body and hair.

Then, I just copied the eyes and the white part of her face, like how she looks, in the reference to make it look like her. The only thing is that it's hard to draw the eyes, nose, and mouth because her face is small, but it turns out fine, and I'm so happy with the result. After I drew the parts of her face, I drew his cover and arranged one by one the necessary parts of her body and also the details on her cover.

To be honest, I don't know how to draw fur. So I looked for a pen that can be used as a smudge, and I discovered the frizzily pen, so that's what I used to draw the fur on his hand and tail.

FINAL ART:

And lastly, for her background, I thought or imagined that she was in a grassy part of the forest, and then she seemed to get lost and someone saw her, so it seemed like the light in front was a white light coming from a flashlight, and his look was like he was curious: who are they?

They said she looks scary and it's like a horror, but actually they are right, and that's really my goal with this drawing, and I think I got what I imagined, and I'm happy because of the feedback.

By the way, I'm sorry if I didn't draw the two on either side of her because I can't draw them all, but we'll know when I get better in the next few years. lol

And this is all I can say about my art this week, and I hope you like it!
