My First Modern Season - Just Grabbed a Spellbook

Hello Splinterlands community! I am excited to be joining my first modern tournament season. I purchased a Spellbook and began battling. I have been collecting Splinterlands cards for some time, and finally took the plunge into the deep end today!

I have been purchasing SPS to stake for income and cards to rent out for income as well. I am building a rental and curation account for Splinterlands that has a lot of SPT power as well.

I battled my way to Bronze III rank and wanted to highlight a battle I recently lost but that provided me with a lot of insight. My favorite color is red, and when my mana was restricted to 16, I had to choose the top two cards that could bring me a win. I chose my commander and a melee fighter for 11 mana. In previous Wood battles, I had up to 43 mana and had a strong red team.

I am still learning and am excited to be part of the Splinterlands community. Feel free to share any strategy updates a newbie should know.

Great you purchased a spellbook. Are you really spending 90 DEC/day on season rentals for summoners? That sound way too much! It can be rented for 0.1 DEC/day.

Maybe you can make yourself familiar with peakmonsters.com. It's a 3rd party tool for Splinterlands that helps you buy, rent, analyze your deck.

I delegated you 500 SPS for some time to boost your earnings a little bit. Also, I am running an open guild for new players. You can simply join and play so called Brawls. Those are fights between guilds that happen every 5 days or so.

Per Brawl, you will receive 25-30 SPS as a reward, no strings attached. I am simply running this open guild to help new players boost their initial rewards and arrive well in Splinterverse. Reach out to me if you're interest. What I would need from you is to really play those Brawls and use the SPS Boost. Otherwise, you will not get the rewards and keep other players from arriving better in Splinterlands.
