Splinterlands Art Contest Week 213: Fanart Naga Assassin| | Eng/Esp

¡Hola Hivers!

I'm back and I'm gonna show you a Fanart of a Splinterland's card called Naga Assasin that I wanted to draw since long time ago, to put you in context, according to PS it says I started it on February 23! so after 8 long months I finished it, finally, I had many issues, lack of time and low inspiration but here it is and meaning a lot for me, hope you like it. This post is dedicated to my boyfriend for supporting me in the good times and especially in the bad and to a very dear friend to me with whom I shared nice moments, Nai <3.
Estoy de regreso y les traigo un Fanart de la carta de Splinterlands llamada Naga Assasin que desde hace tiempo quise hacer, para ponerles en contexto, según el registro de PS dice que empecé esta ilustración el ¡23 de febrero!, así que luego de 8 largos meses pude al fin terminarla, tuve muchos problemas, falta de tiempo, poca inspiración, pero aquí está, y significa mucho para mí, espero les guste. Este post está dedicado a mi novio por apoyarme en las buenas y sobretodo en las malas y a una amiga muy querida para mí con la que he compartido muy bonitos momentos, Nai <3 .

Process / Proceso

I Started with a soft sketching using the card as reference. Then adding more details.
Empecé con un suave boceto usando la carta como referencia. Y luego fui añadiendo mas detalles.

Card/Carta

I added base colours and trying some shades on the main character
Añadí los colores base y probé algunos tonos del personaje principal.

Well, this part was hard, the scale texture is difficult if you no have much experience (like me xD). I tried many times in different ways.
Bueno, esta parte me fue un poco complicada, la textura de escamas sinceramente es algo difícil si no se tiene tanta experiencia (como yo xD). Intenté muchas veces con diferentes formas.

My favourite part was colouring her skin, because I like colouring dark skins, I think that was one of the reasons that I chose this card. The yellow eyes and white hair make feel inspired too.
Mi parte favorita fue dibujar su piel porque me gusta colorear pieles oscuras, creo que esa fue una de las razones por las que escogí esta carta. Los ojos amarillos y el pelo blanco también me inspiran mucho.

Then of maaany details on the main character I drew a simple sketch of the background, I read her lore (very interesting that they have many different varieties) so I wanted something like her making her job (a normal work day with a Naga Assasin ( ´ ▽ ` )/ ).
Luego de muuchos detalles en el personaje principal, dibujé un simple bosquejo del fondo, leí el lore(muy interesante que tienen muchas variedades) así que quería algo como ella haciendo su trabajo (un día normal de trabajo con una Naga Assasin ( ´ ▽ ` )/ ).

After I drew her I started with accessories, her top is in this layer but I drew it from the beginning. Her swords are inspired from short katanas and I tried to drawing her outfit very similar with the card but with my style.
Luego de dibujarla empecé con los accesorios, su top está en esta capa pero la dibujé desde el principio. Sus espadas están inspiradas en pequeñas katanas e intenté dibujar su vestimenta muy similar a la carta pero con mi estilo.

This the result with more highliths, particles and a motion blur background with her victims (*￣▽￣). I dunno but I feel very proud and grateful because I finished this drawing after all. Thanks to Splinterlands for let us use their game as inspiration.
Este es el resultado con mas luces, partículas y un fondo desenfocado por movimiento con sus víctimas (*￣▽￣). No sé pero me siento muy orgullosa y agradecida que terminé este dibujo después de todo. Gracias a Splinterlands por dejarnos usar su juego como inspiración

Hahaha definitely! Really awesome start again winning a contest 😳. I already have material for next post but I'm waiting for permission so I'm drawing more, just I had a bad headache and had to stop yesterday 😂.

Awesome. It almost looks exactly like the original art, just taken from a different angle.
Great job adding more depth in to it. I initially thought you made it on a 3D modeling app.

Hi! Thanks for your support, I'm happy you though it was in a 3D modeling app hehe, that's meaning it looks with a lot of deep (⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠). I like the card so drawing it similar was the main idea. Thanks for your comment!
