I would love to purchase some packs when they are released but it seems that they will be reserved for those who have big wallets in that you have to have a massive stake to earn vouchers to enable you to buy the packs. I personally think it's s short-sighted inequitable approach to the game's structure designed to protect whales. I honestly believe anyone should be allowed to purchase card sets and this voucher concept is just a smokescreen to keep the splinterland earning potential protected for the whales. They alone will earn vouchers and be ina position to buy card packs at list price of $4 and then capitalise by selling them at 10 x prices. who knows what price they will ask for the voucher tokens. Feeling really disheartened by Splinterlands whole approach tbf.

I can see how someone could take that viewpoint but to be honest if purchasing boosters was a free for all like it was in the past whales would purchase more of them then the current voucher system will allow. The current voucher system is designed to slow the sale of boosters so new players can have the opportunity to purchase them.

I am a perfect example of the voucher system working. I was planning on a $10,000 booster purchase but because the voucher system is in place I had to adjust my strategy and am now pushing towards a $2000 presale purchase / possibly even lower then $2000 purchase.

I see that and your answer helps to clarify why they are doing this, but I would have thought that each splinterlands account could purchase say 5-10 packs without the need for a voucher. Basically puts people like me completely out the picture.

An X booster purchase per account would be awesome. On the down side whales would just use multi accounts to get the amount of boosters they want.

I guess we can no longer expect people to do the right thing to promote equity; it's all about the 'me' first construct. I'll just keep investing a little at a time and see where it takes me; maybe I'll get lucky with a few cards here and there in the market or on the odd giveaways in the community. Is the new edition of Splinterland cards that are about to be released. Presale will have 1 Million boosters available for sale at the price of $4 USD each (a voucher will also be needed). It will last for 4-5 weeks and then public sale will start. Presale will be held on the official Splinterlands site. Vouchers can be earned by staking SPS.

Actually, with all the speculation that vouchers might carry a price as high as $10-$15, I'm thinking I might offer to trade, (those looking for titles and to design cards,) bundles of vouchers for a reward card and packs at a discount of the price of the vouchers since it seems I won't be getting the 100 vouchers I was hoping for initially. Figure maybe I can get the goodies I want a different way.

Depends how high the voucher price goes. at $10 3 packs and a reward card for 5 vouchers could be fair. If it hits something insane like $20 6 packs and a reward card for 5 could be fair. Especially since it's forgoing future airdrop chance. Mind these are napkin numbers off the top of my head and the deal is intended for those chasing titles or the chance to design a card. So, they'll have the extras anyway.

The biggest snag is what to do about the promissory reward card part. For anyone with a white tag in the discord, it would probably be a collateral situation (n more packs to hold on to to trade back for reward card.) For Mavericks, I may also add the option to make the deal public in something like the SPS channel with a screenshot so their name could be dragged through the mud if they renegged.

Obviously, the idea is new and I'm still thinking through the details. Worst case scenario is that no one takes the deal and I use the vouchers I get and prey I luck out at the small reward card chance. But, I don't mind helping someone get a title or to design a card as long as I benefit from it getting presale goodies too.

50 is a respectable amount.

With Splinterlands crossing 1 Million sign ups/500,000 Spellbook purchases on average that is only 1 or 2 boosters per account if all were equal. Getting 50 puts you way above the average. I'm going to attempt to get to the 500 level, if not I 100% will be at the 100+ bonus level. You can toss your 50 in with mine for the addtional booster bonus if you want. I'll send you the airdrop card that is gntd with 50 booster purchases. The downside is you will be out any potential future airdrops those 50 boosters might earn.

At 10% bonus that is an extra 5 boosters for you
At 15% bonus that is 7.5 extra boosters for you.

The question becomes do you value your future airdrop chances for the airdrop cards more then 5-8 extra boosters. Just figured I offer it to you as I'm thinking about making a post offering the above to those who are making smaller purchases to try and help them get more bang for their buck.

I was originally aiming for the title as well but it looks like I will have to settle on trying to reach the 500 Pack Purchase Bonus level and that might be a stretch. I don't plan on buying many boosters. If I need a handful to reach a bonus level then I will but other then that, no voucher purchasing for me.
