A Gold Foil (GF) I am excited to own :P

Hey Splinterlandians!

I hope you're having a great week out there IRL and in the digital Realm of Splinterlands!

This week, I want to share with you something I worked hard for!

I saved up Battle Rewards (DEC), Rental Income, Airdrop Rewards (SPS), sacrificed a few CL Packs and even some Vouchers to make this happen!

While the GIF may represent some real world priorities - I like expensive Scotch, what can I say 🤷‍♂

My in-game priorities focused lately on obtaining the GF Version of this extremely limited card with a VERY versatile use...

I suppose the question must be asked - "but why the GF Version my guy"?

Due to the versatility, I chose to save up for the GF version for the DEC Bonus... as well as the fact there are LESS than 1,000 of them in circulation!

I believe as Splinterlands grows, this number will continue to decrease thus making this an investment as well as a multi-use tool for the game :)

Ok then, sheesh - here's what I got!

The card(s) I worked hard for were FOUR, Level 1, Elven Mystics 😃

As of my purchase, there were 998 in Circulation and then I COMBINED them into ONE, Level 4, Elven Mystic...

This should reduce the supply to 995 in Circulation and it gives me a KICK ASS NETURAL Monster that has a Magic Atk AND... Suppresses Magic Attack...

That's RIGHT! A NETURAL Monster... With Magic Suppression... Good Golly Miss Molly and Gee Willikers Batman!

Can you even imagine it?!?

Let's use a Life Deck for example:

Oh yeah... starting off right: +1 to my teams Magic Attack... I like it...

Put the Pointy Pony up front to block...

Void Shield takes incoming Mgk Atk and HALVES it... 1 Mgk Atk = 0!

Toss in a Toadstool Comedian... don't get it? He's a FUNGI!

Now you're Mgk Atk is +1, their Mgk Atk is -1 AND your Unicorn reduces that...

Pile on the Elven Mystic and his faithful Bluebird companions for a MINUS 2 (-2) to their Mgk Atk...

That means any monster with THREE or LESS Magic Attack will be reduced to ZERO DMG against the Mustang!

Maybe you can't put the Stang up front due to No Melee rules... Maybe you wanna run a Mgk Atk Big Booty Judy in the Tank Slot like Kron or Slipspawn...

Now all incoming Magic Damage is reduced by TWO... I'm sure at this point you've got some Healz on deck and they should be able to handle it from there :P

I have saved up WEEKS worth of Rewards to get that - I am just a middle class wage slave and can't afford to put much $ into the game at any given time

This is what #playtoearn is all about! This is part of why I love #splinterlands!

Now... If I could just get the Airdrop to stop F!#$%!@ me on the GFL % (1.6% vs 4% expected)... I'd be one happy camper :D

Oh... and I did manage to buy more packs... So let's see how we fare on the Carnage Titan airdrop... Will the "Salty Saga" continue... Or will I be blessed with parity on my GFL drops?

CONGRATS MAN!!!

Man i'm so happy for you. One question, did you concsiously choose not to buy a GF card because you wanted to combine one yourself first?

Dunno about you but i'm a new player, and it will be a long shot til i get any 4 cards to merge into a gold foil...sigh.

I bought the four GF Level 1's so I could level them up into a L4

That's a great way to slowly work into any higher level card Regular or Gold Foil :)

I'll check your post out and see what you got going on :)
