I think SPS going down is expected, and the normal reaction to the state of the Splinterlands economy. SPL is printing a lot of SPS as rewards, but not a lot of things to spend it on. High supply and low demand results in SPS going down. Not to mention that we are in a bear market, so almost all of Crypto is down anyways. I'm just accumulating assets and plan to weather this winter.

SPS will keep going down because we keep printing it and there's no demand, on top of the bear market we're in.

SPS going down is expected because there aren't that many use cases for SPS right now. There are a lot of things planned but they are not out yet.

SPS is the main reward currency of splinterlands now, so it was kind of expected in this down market.
However, if the team lunches the feature to buy cards and other assets using SPS directly, that may change the scene
pretty natural as there aren't any sinks for SPS to go to and crypto itself is in a bear market. the question is whether Splinterlands can attract new players and add utility in the future. if yes then we're early adopters. if no, sad times.

Well, I don't understand much about economy. But I think in a bearmarket it is expected to everything (all tokens/coins) go down.

SPS subject to the yo-yoing I tend to see between long-term planning and short-term scrambles for liquidity by the SPL team. The long-term vision is very good, but decisions made to boost profit and liquidity in the short-term hamstring it... allowing (encouraging?) bots, nerfing intro level rewards, oversupply of SPS and Chaos, Riftwatchers before Chaos absorbed, etc.

I think as long as it is just given away with no real sink or at least stabilizing sink as a riftwatchers with a fixed price in sps it will further go south

We have an over-supply of SPS tokens and that condition will only get worse until more use is found for that token; hence, the price will continue to drop for some time. The main problem is that SPS is Splinterlands-specific. Sure, other Hive games are introducing that token to help speed up usage; be better though, if the main Hive blockchain itself can find a use for all hivians as a means to increase demand, and in the process at least stabilize the price.
