Region Swap vs Harvest Analysis Arrives (Less Clicking/Better Decisions)
Welcome back,
We are back already with another small update.
Honestly, I did not expect to release something this quickly after the update of yesterday, but sometimes building is just fun.
This update started with a conversation with none other than @davemccoy. The discussion originally revolved around the rental side of the Land Manager feature, but if you have ever talked land with Dave, you know those conversations rarely stay on a single topic 🤣.
We were discussing land economics, resource production, market prices, optimization strategies, and all the different ways players approach land management. Dave showed how he approached it.
At some point during the conversation, the familiar click happened in my head.
I already had most of the data available. I just needed to combine it in a way that could help answer a very simple question:
Is producing this resource actually the best thing to do?
That is something I keep discovering every time I talk to land players. I had already a view per deed where you could see that but now for all your region at once for the natural resources.

I mentioned it in previous posts and I will probably keep mentioning it because it still amazes me.
Different players look at land completely differently.
- Some focus on production efficiency.
- Some focus on liquidity pools.
- Some focus on market opportunities.
- Some are planning far ahead for future whitepaper features.
And this is only the beginning of what land will eventually become.
As a direct disclaimer, I honestly hope I can keep maintaining and expanding the site once all the complexity from the whitepaper starts arriving. If the current version of land already generates this many interesting discussions, I can only imagine what things will look like once additional systems and mechanics are released.
What continues to impress me is the amount of knowledge within the community.
Not just Dave, but many players I have spoken with over the last months.
There are people who understand markets better than I do.
People who can break down production chains in ways I never considered.
People who see opportunities and strategies I would never have discovered on my own.
I mostly listen, learn, and try to translate those insights into tools that make life a little easier for everyone.
That does not mean the tool will make decisions for you.
You still need to understand the numbers and decide what strategy fits your goals.
My hope is simply that the information becomes easier to access and requires less clicking to find.

Natural Resource Analysis for Region Overview
The main addition in this release is a brand new Natural Resource Analysis column in the Region Overview.
Previously you could inspect profitability on a plot-by-plot basis or region by region in combination with the trade to determine values.
This per region and per resource
Now you get a much more useful overview at the region level.
The new analysis checks whether harvesting a natural resource is actually the most profitable option.
For every harvestable WOOD, STONE, and IRON plot, the system calculates what would happen if the required GRAIN was instead used for a swap through the AMM. Using live pool data,
The result is then compared against the amount that would be harvested directly.
If the swap would produce more resources than harvesting, the system will display a warning indicator.
Hovering over the icon will show a detailed explanation.
How does it look when your have a resource that is not profitable to harvest:
This gives you an immediate indication that your grain may currently be more valuable when used through the market rather than through direct production.
If everything looks good and harvesting remains the best option, you will simply see a ✓ indicator.
- The goal is not to tell you what to do.
- The goal is to highlight opportunities you may otherwise miss.
Direct Harvest Page Access
A smaller but very practical addition is the new Open Harvest Page action button. When you see something you do not like you can go directly to the harvest all screen in splinerlands and adjust one or two plots there.
Its all about making it easy accessible.
A small quality of life improvement, but one that saves a few clicks every time you use it.
Final Thoughts
This update is another example of why I enjoy building these tools.
Many of the best ideas do not come from sitting alone behind a keyboard.
They come from discussions with other players who approach the game differently.
Every conversation gives a new perspective and occasionally sparks an idea that turns into a feature a few hours later.
So keep the feedback coming.

Because chances are, your workflow is completely different from mine and that difference might inspire the next update.

Hello everyone I hope you are all good and well today in this post is some of the evidence to prove my case
If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone
I've been labelled a lot of things on Hive 😂 by the biggest farmers scammers and downvoters
Actions speak louder than any words do especially when them words are coming from a compolsive liars
