I'm back and I come to show you my entry for this new week of the @splinterlands art contest doing again one of the creatures I love to draw the most "mermaids" one of the things I love the most about drawing mermaids is that I can make their long hair combine very well with their long tails, they give me that sense of harmony that I like so much in a character creation. I show you how it was to make MISCHIEVOUS MERMAID an old card in the game but that I still find beautiful. here we go.

Estoy de vuelta y vengo a mostrarles mi entrada para esta nueva semana del concurso de arte de @splinterlands haciendo nuevamente una de las criaturas que mas amo dibujar "las sirenas" una de las cosas que mas amo de dibujar sirenas es que puedo hacer que su larga cabellera combine muy bien con sus largas colas, me dan ese sentido de armonía que tanto me gusta en una creación de personaje. Te muestro como fue hacer a MISCHIEVOUS MERMAID una carta antigua en el juego pero que me sigue pareciendo hermosa. vamos allá.

This time I wanted to draw the mermaid differently, I drew her on the surface of an ocean rock, since I always draw my mermaids in the water and this time I wanted to see how she would look out of the water. I drew her mainly thinking of a pose where she would be listening to the sea through her sea shells and witnessing a sunset.

Esta vez quise dibujar distinto a la sirena, la hice en la superficie de una piedra del océano, ya que siempre dibujo mis sirenas dentro del agua y esta vez quería ver que tal se vería estando fuera de ella. La dibuje principalmente pensando en una pose donde estuviese escuchando el mar a través de sus conchas de mar y presenciando un atardecer.

As for the color palette, this time I played with the cold colors of the character, I also omitted the color of his skin, not because it looks ugly, but because personally it is a color that I don't like to see in characters that evoke a certain innocence and less if they are characters that look like children. I like more the green color when it is represented in a moss monster, Frankenstein or an evil witch.

En cuanto a la paleta de color, esta vez jugué con los colores fríos del personaje, también obvié el color de su piel, no porque se vea feo, si no porque personalmente es un color que no me gusta ver en personajes que evocan cierta inocencia y menos si son personajes que parecen niños. Me gusta mas el color verde cuando está representado en un monstro de musgo, Frankenstein o una bruja malvada.

I also made a contrast between the character with its cold colors and a background with warm orange but I took it to a cold temperature to break a little but not too much the scene where the character is.

También hice un contraste entre el personaje con sus colores fríos y un fondo con naranja cálido pero que lo llevé a una temperatura fría para que rompiese un poco pero no mucho la escena donde esta el personaje.

To finish I just gave a Rimlight to the mermaid, I like this effect very much because it gives much more weight to the figure of importance in an illustration. Tell me what you thought of this mermaid fanart and tell me what other mermaid or sea creature you would like me to do.

Para terminar solo le di un Rimlight a la sirena, me gusta este efecto muchísimo porque le da mucho mas peso a la figura de importancia en una ilustración. cuéntame que te pareció este fanart de sirena y dime que otra sirena o criatura marina te gustaría que hiciera.
