Brawl Report #79, Splinterlands, A Social Distraction?

I have been visiting Splinterlore to learn more about the lore of Splinterlands, here is part of the lore, want to know more, check out the history:

The Lore behind the Xenith Monka by Splinterlands:
Magical attacks erupted around the Xenith Monk in bursts of spectacular colors. Fire, lightning, ice, and wind whirled like a hurricane around the warrior, cutting, slicing, and battering her again and again. Blood poured from her wounds, coating the ground red. The energy from the arcane assault kicked up a torrent of smoke around the monk but still it persisted.

In the blinding smoke, the Xenith Monk twisted her hands around in a rhythmic motion. She began to dance within the cloud, her hands moving with unnatural speed. The barrage of arcane attacks continued but slowly, one by one, the Magi of Chaos each stopped their assault. They stared wide eyed inside the cloud of smoke as their attacks froze in space. An arcane hum filled the air.

Suddenly, the still magic at the center of the smoke erupted outwards towards the mages surrounding the monk. The energy collided with mages, knocking them off their feet. Others were cut and pierced by the magical attacks, leaving a bloody mess where they once stood. The few mages who remained glanced around at their allies and finally came to rest their eyes in the center where the smoke now faded. Standing in the middle of a crater was the Xenith Monk with nary a scratch on them. Their wounds were slowly healing as they snapped their neck and knuckles, twirled their arms in a circle, and brushed dirt off of their shoulder.

On to the battle, the guild as a whole filled 13 out of 16 frays for this one, went down on participation this time. I’m in Silver Chaos Legion only format fight with 9 fights that have my name.

Battle #1 (Link)
At least I begin in the home arena this time with 20 mana, amplify, basic, and no melee, guess I am going earth for that magic damage. They went earth as well, but cutting my magic down with void is not a great thing. Yeah, I didn’t really stand a chance on this one.

Battle #2 (Link)
Still in the home arena, hopefully this one will go better for me, 56 mana, cripple, common and rare only, along with fury. I decided to go death on this one, using the life leech and scavenger abilities to increase my health to counter cripple.

Battle #3 (Link)
This one we leave the home looking at 30 mana, super sneak, slow, and no armor. So I went earth on this one for the Quora and Grund double sneak attack damage. They went earth as well, only with quora in the front line. Pulling off a good win on this one!

Battle #4 (Link)
Back at the home arena again with 29 mana, amplify, thorns, oh, and no armor. I decided to go earth, for the heals on this one actually, it looks like they had a similar idea to me, getting those kills in with earth. It was looking rough there for a little while, when affliction got on quora, the no heals hurt a lot, but I came through!

Battle #5 (Link)
Back on the road for the middle fight, 13 mana, no melee, no armor, odd only, water and death only as well. I went death to knock them down a little bit, and then having that life leech. Looks like they had the same idea, the difference, my people are a little higher level, so I will go earlier than them, but that might hurt me. Timing worked on for me on this one!

Battle #6 (Link)
Starting the second half of fight at this point, at home, a good way to start! This time is back to basics, no legendary, and no armor, here comes earth for me with the 54 mana! They went fire, probably to have that extra melee damage, with Gorth up front, that can be painful! My magic damage came through on this one!

Battle #7 (Link)
Lucky 7 in the enemy arena? 36 mana, back to basics again, but opportunity for everyone, along with odd only. I decided to go dragon light on this one, with lot’s of heavy hitters. They went earth, that shatter on the summoner is going to hurt! Yeah, that shatter caused me to lose on that one.

Battle #8 (Link)
Second to the end, back in the home arena, dealing with 31 mana, melee can attack from anywhere and blast. Not many monsters on this one for me, going earth again with double strikes from grund and quora. They went water, that speed might cause some problems for me. Timing just did not work out for me on this one.

Battle #9 (Link)
Last one for me, in the enemy territory, 52 mana, knockout, fog of war, and earthquake, I need heals and flying this time around. I’m running dragon Earth this time as well, hopefully it will go well for me. They went light on this one, multiple flying aspects. They were doing just too much damage to me for me to overcome it.

20 hours to go on this one, and I am sitting at 4 and 3, I will take that any day of the week! The guild is in 4th place, don’t know the outlook as well for us, mostly due to the fact that we don’t have the numbers to climb again.
I thought I was doing well, but ended up 4 and 5, lost those last two. 2he guild ended in 2nd place, close to first, 4 wins, we just need more people to fill the spots!
