Ramblings and a giveaway

Three days left in current season... and it's very likely that, for probably the first time since I've started playing, I won't reach Diamond league! I noticed difficulty seemed to have gone way up in last season, but another season would prove if my impression was right or not; and it was. So, I see three options for this:

• I'm getting crappier at playing the game

• A lot of OP players are rushing in

• Bots. Bots everywhere

Give the bot ban on modern, although the first two options are a possibility, i strongly lean for option 3.

One of the problems of Splinterlands, and probably every web3 game out there, is to balance the fun part with the economic part. And I think in the near future, there's the best possible fix for it: Lands!

First of all, every game to succeed has to be fun. Period. No matter how good tokenomics are, if no one wants to play it, the game won't thrive. And given the experience in Modern league after the bot ban, I think it's clear to everyone that banning bots is CRUCIAL to increase the fun part.

When lands go live and card staking as well, we now have the perfect balance: passive rewards for land staking, and "active" rewards for the ones playing the game! And I truly hope that means, in a very near future, to completely ban bots from gameplay; especially now that the worse of crypto winter seems to be over, and I would guess crypto will see a lot more attention in the near future! It's a golden opportunity to put this game in the spotlight again, where it belongs!
