Splinterlands Ramblings... and a giveaway inside

Big news coming tomorrow! At the next town hall, conflicts will finally be revealed, and we (hopefully) will know exactly how will they work. This is the new airdrop system, replacing the old one where the airdrop chance was calculated by the amount of packs you had purchased. Now, it will involve "staking" packs and cards; if I recall correctly, there are no guaranteed airdrops (and I'm really unsure how to feel about this), but I hope by tomorrow we'll have a detailed plan.

On the battling side, I only restarted playing a few days ago, but in opposition to the last couple seasons, I'm actually maintaining a decent winning rate, or at least close to my usual ratio. Have bots start abandoning the gameplay? Am I just getting really lucky for now and will be ran over in the remaining days? I have no clue, but it does feel good to see an apparently even playfield. I have a tiny hope that some of the ideas to improve gameplay will be partially adressed tomorrow, but better not keep my hopes up; improving the gaming experience still feels like the top priority for me.

My understanding with conflicts is that you have to spend 50 vouchers to buy a battle wagon that can fit 5 cards and 100 packs... and it uses the CP of the cards to determine your conflict points. Those conflict points will essentially work the same as 'packs purchased' with previous airdropped editions.

So personally, I've got about 160 Rebellion cards. 160/5 = 32. I'd need 32 battle wagons at 50 vouchers each = 1,600 vouchers... which I've got available.

As far as I know, you only need to purchase the Battle Wagons once, not once per conflict (there will be 9 conflicts going for 30 days each).

I think the only bit I don't know yet is the date it starts.

Have bots start abandoning the gameplay?

I play Wild and have been having more success lately...the last couple of seasons. My theory is that land has sucked some of the high level cards especially older ones off the battlefield.
