it is a pleasure to be with you once again sharing for the splinterlands weekly contest.
this week i was a bit blocked so i decided to do something different for a change... if you have seen my previous drawings you will notice that there is something different in the... well I don't want to give anything away.

es un gusto estar con ustedes una vez mas compartiendo para el concurso semanal de splinterlands.
esta semana estaba un tanto bloqueado asi que decidí hacer algo diferente para variar... si has visto mis anteriores dibujos notarás que hay algo diferente en el... bien no quiero adelantar nada.

Jini Guise

In this opportunity the chosen character is Jini Guise, in our reference we only see a face and little information, so we have to be very creative and imagine the rest of her body.

En esta oportunidad el personaje elegido es Jini Guise, en nuestra referencia no vemos mas que un rostro y poca información, asi que toca ser muy creativos e imaginar el resto de su cuerpo.

We start with the basic form of the sketch, I have seen that not everyone shows this part, I like it very much because I feel that it is the soul of our drawing where it is vaguely reflected what we want to achieve.

Iniciamos con la forma basica del boceto, eh visto que no todos muestran esta parte, a mi me gusta mucho pues siento que es el alma de nuestro dibujo donde se ve vagamente reflejado lo que queremos lograr.

On the previous layer we drew the sketch in blue color, this took several corrections because I felt that the character was too stiff.

Sobre la capa anterior dibujamos el boceto en color azul esto llevo varias correcciones pues sentía que el personaje estaba muy rígido.

Once ready it is time to do the lineart on the sketch layer, use a fine brush with a hardness of 70%.

Una vez listo es momento de hacer el lineart sobre la capa del boceto, use un pincel fino con dureza del 70%

The color, here comes the great part, I was thinking in low saturated tones, but after thinking about it I will use the same ones I use for the anime style. It's time to apply all the base color, this will take a while.

El color, aqui viene lo genial, estaba pensando en tonos poco saturados, pero después de pensarlo usaré los mismos que uso para el estilo anime. es momento de aplicar toda la base de color esto se llevara un buen rato.

I will leave aside the colors used in this illustration, it is unnecessary because this program has the function to save one or several palettes that you choose... hehe

Iré dejando de un lado los colores usados en esta ilustración, es algo innecesario porque este programa tiene la función de guardar una o varias paletas que elijas... hehe

Well this is the part I want to highlight, at the moment of applying the shadows I was thinking about how I could do something different... that my drawing could express a little bit more... so I decided to do all the shadows without blurring and try to emulate something similar to the oil painting style.

Bien esta es la parte que quiero resaltar, al momento de aplicar las sombras estaba pensando en como podía hacer algo diferente... que mi dibujo expresara un poquito más... por lo que decidí hacer todas las sombras sin difuminar y tratar de emular algo parecido al estilo de oleo.

To tell you the truth I like the way it's turning out, it's not something I'm used to doing, in fact I feel out of my comfort zone.

A decir verdad me gusta como está quedando, no es algo que acostumbre hacer. de hecho me siento fuera de mi zona de confort.

I really liked the effect on the clothes.

Me gusto muchisimo el efecto que se logra en la ropa.

Time to apply some details, these little stars I did them one by one, since I don't know of any effect that can make them I feel they look better this way. all this was over a different layer to give it some transparency.

Momento de aplicar algunos detalles, estas pequeñas estrellas las hice una a una, ya que no se de algun efecto que pueda hacerlas siento que se ven mejor asi. todo esto fue sobre una capa diferente para darle cierta transparencia.

It's time to touch up the lines and other details, I'm sure these details are not visible to the naked eye but I like to add them.

Es momento de dar retoques en las líneas y otros detalles, estoy seguro de que estos detalles no se ven a simple vista pero me gusta agregarlos

In the reference appears a kind of magic fog, I wanted to allude to this and play a little with the lights and shadows, from here gives us that background for the drawing.

Finally, we add a little more fog over the character to blend it better with the background.

Para finalizar agregamos un poco mas de niebla sobre el personaje para que este se integre mejor con el fondo.
