Day 63/366 Y2024: Battle Mage Secrets - Cute Little Beasts

Hello there Battle Buddies , how are you doing with the current changes in our favorite game. The recent updates may be good for some, some are also having a hard time to adjust. Anyways whatever situation we are I know your still enjoying.

So let's get to business, another week for us to show our battling skills. For this week Splinterlands gave us this rule to test our skills.

Usually in this type of rulesets I picked all the lowest mana requirement units that have great abilities, but as always it all depends on the conditions give.

Battle Conditions

Aside from the Challenge Ruleset, this conditions are present.

Ferocity - all monsters will deal double damage to units with taunt.
Lost Magic- all magic damage equipped Units will be banned
Mana - 19 mana is given, this fits my usual game plan for this kind of rules.
Elements - Only dragon and water element is available, this elements have a good selection of low mana units.

Line Up Selection

With all Units all having same health, given the 19 Mana I picked the lowest requirement units with useful abilities.

Chaos Agent

Equipped with dodge ability makes it more effective as a tank, and only requiring 1 mana to summon it gives me more room for other units.

Tide Biter

With the reach ability and a decent damage for a low mana unit, this is one of the better choices for a low mana battle, and having true strikes makes it more useful.

Pelacor Bandit

Having the ruleset lost magic, the speed and the flying ability of this units makes it a secondary tank, misses are sure to occur when they hit him.

Uraeus

Poison ability is what makes this unit stand out from other low mana sneak units, once activated that poison helps fasten the elimination of affected units

Angelic Mandarin

The only utility this cards that will have an effect is the triage ability, putting him at the back ensures the safety of the sneak units in doing their job.

Torrent Fiend

With it's zero mana requirement this is a must in this battle, headwinds reduces 1 ranged damage is very useful since mages are banned so surely ranged units will be used.

Battle Highlights

I did not expect that the opponent will go full range on the lineup, now that gave me an advantage because of the headwinds from Torrent Fiend.

As expected in this round two hits from the enemy already missed thanks to the dodge ability of chaos agent.

For the second round Chaos night fall, but also the healer water elemental went with him, all thanks to the poison from Uraeus that inflicted more damage and a final blow from Pelacor. The elimination greatly helped in the result of this battle, that self heal sure is a lot to deal with.

Now in the third round ,My secondary tank fell but thank to Uraeus that keeps hitting the backlines with his poison I was able to even out the numbers.

Pelacor Bandit took over as the main tank, and that expected misses gave me more chance deal damage to the backlines.

On the 7th round my tank Pelacor Bandit was eliminated, now the numbers are matched , but looking on how things are , I think its gonna end well for me

For the last round Only the Naga Assasin remained, she has a very high speed but that wasn't enough to dodge the attacks from the warriors. And that's another Victory on the books.

In this featured battle, Torrent Fiend played a very important role, even not doing a single damage ,it's ability headwinds gave me a lot of advantage since the opponent used a full archer unit. And also Uraeus for those poison enabling a quick elimination of the backline threats. If not for those poison damage my team would have had a different fate.
