The Summoner's Spellbook

Splinterlands is free to play, but if you want to unlock it's extreme earnings potential, you need to purchase The Summoner's Spellbook. Without it, you can't earn. You can't complete daily quests, compete for season rewards, or earn DEC.

When you first log in, there's a "BUY SPELLBOOK" button on the right side of the page where your daily quests will appear. Clicking that will take you to the following page.

Here, you have the option of paying with PayPal or a number of crypto options that can be displayed by simply clicking on "CRYPTO" button. If you have a gift card or promo code, you can enter it by clicking the "CODE" button before submitting your payment. For this transaction, I went with PayPal.

Clicking the "PayPal" button opens a secure browser window for you to complete the transaction.

After submitting your payment, the PayPal window will close and you'll see a message from Splinterlands stating they're waiting on your transaction to be confirmed on the blockchain. Once it's confirmed (mine took maybe 30 seconds), you'll get to choose your username and then your account will be upgraded.

From here you can request your account keys or begin playing the game. You can verify your spellbook purchase by going to your card inventory and switching from "Cards" to "Other" on the top right under Inventory.

A Note About Keys

One of the main problems, regarding keys, I see on Discord in the tech-support room is people failing to check their spam folder so make sure to give that a try if you're not seeing the email right away.

Keep your keys safe! Always make backups of your backups.
