Last season I finished in DIAMOND III so this season I started the game in GOLD II (more precisely at rank 2200). I thought that the competition wouldn't be as intense as in GOLD III, but I was wrong. I went up and down between GOLD II and GOLD III many times. Sometimes I managed to climb far and secure a position in GOLD II, but a few hours ago I was defeated in a row so I am now in GOLD III again (and away from GOLD II).

Since I've been losing more often, I've had a hard time finding interesting battles to share. Even so, there is at least one battle (where I was the winner) that is interesting to me and I will share it with you readers. But before that...

FORCEFIELD

FORCEFIELD is an ability that can reduce damage to only 1 point when receiving attacks that have an ATTACK POWER of 5 points or more. As far as I know, this ability is rarely used even in the Gold League because the highest average ATTACK POWER is 3-4 points. Monsters that have an ATTACK POWER of 5 points or more are very rare (except for getting BUFF or the effects of certain abilities such as MARTYR).

Mycelic Slipspawn is one of the FORCEFIELD monsters that I encounter most often, but most of its uses are just to lure the opponent's monsters to attack themselves (TAUNT), but in this battle, by chance, FORCEFIELD was finally used...

Lets Start the Battles

The rulesets this time are ODD ONES OUT, EXPLOSIVE WEAPONRY, LOST LEGENDARIES. I decided to use my 2 MARTYR monsters (Fungus Flinger and Venari Marksrat) after knowing 2 of the 3 Rulesets (EXPLOSIVE WEAPONRY and ODD ONES OUT), and the opponent did the same. I was at a disadvantage with my SUMMONER level where the opponent had a level 6 Rare Summoner while I only had a Level 2 Legendary Summoner (equivalent to a level 4 Rare Summoner). This made the opponent able to use similar monsters but with higher power compared to mine.

The opponent has lost 2 MARTYR monsters. My opponent's Venari Marksrat was hit by Gem Meteor which was not affected by TAUNT of Mycelic Slipspawn while my opponent's Fungus Flinger lost because it was hit by the Blast effect of my multiple monsters (Mycelic Slipspawn, Regal Peryton, and Fungus Flinger). My side was left with Fungus Flinger because Venari Marksrat lost to BLAST.

The attacks from my opponent's Mycelic Slipspawn and Regal Peryton* that have 5 points of ATTACK POWER only subtracted 1 HEALTH POINT from my Mycelic Slipspawn. All thanks to FORCEFIELD, but the BLAST effect that hits Gem Meteor is still the same (not affected by FORCEFIELD.

My Fungus Flinger just failed this round because of the BLAST he received when Disintegrator attacked Pelacor Mercenary.
