Splinterlands Card Giveaway

Each week I host a giveaway for one of the original Reward Edition Splinterlands cards. Most of these cards have been out-of-print for almost two years, so new players can only get them in the market, and that can be pretty expensive. These giveaways are a way to help players build their deck for free.

Last week's prize was this Creeping Ooze card.

This Week's Giveaway

For this week's Blast From The Past Giveaway, I'm giving away this Level 1 Goblin Mech card.

That mad scientist Gurklies Gobson has done it again! His latest invention, the Goblin Mech has made quite a stir in the arena. Guaranteed to strike fear in the hearts of your opponents, and any of your team that is unlucky enough to be chosen to pilot this contraption, Gurklies promises his creation will bring victory in battle. Of course, he didn't specify if the victory would be yours or the opposing teams.

The Goblin Mech was the first card released that had a double-digit Mana cost. Even though it cost so much Mana, it didn't need a lot of support and could achieve victory even in low Mana battles single handedly. Newer, more powerful cards have since been released and the Goblin Mech is no longer a sure winner, especially in the higher league matches. But if you are playing in the bronze league, it can still be a terror. And with the new higher Mana cap battles, you can use it in a lot more matches.

When first introduced, you could buy a Goblin Mech card pretty cheap. But over time the price has risen. Today, the cheapest level 1 card goes for a very respectable $1.19 on the Splinterlands market. A high price like that shows that even now this card has stood the test of time and is in great demand.

If you are just starting out and haven't been able to add a Goblin Mech card to your deck or just need another one to level yours up, then you should get in on this giveaway. This card will be sent to one lucky winner when this contest closes at post payout time. If this Goblin Mech card doesn't fit in with your master plan for Splinterlands domination, or if you lack the skill and wisdom necessary to achieve victory with it, you can always rent it to someone else or try to sell it in the market.

How To Enter The Giveaway

For a chance to add this Goblin Mech to your Splinterlands deck, just leave a comment. Be sure to add your Splinterlands account name if it's different than your entry name. Only 1 entry per person. The contest will end at the 7 day point of payout for this post, when I will use the WHEEL OF NAMES to choose the winner.

Goblin Mech was one of the cards I used pretty much all the time when I was a new Splinterlands player, today there are much stronger cards in battle but I haven't sold a single goblin mech so far and I will always keep them :)
