Brighton Bloom - Give Me Wings!

Hello Splinterfans!

This week we have the battle challenge with the powerful dragons and I have chosen the mighty Brighton Bloom.

The lore tells us that Brighton Bloom's loyalty was up for the highest bidder and that was how he joined the mighty dragons. When I think of dragons, I usually think of fire, but today I will focus on another of their great abilities.. flying!


The mighty Brighton Bloom is a powerful summoner who can through his hard training grant the power of flight to any monsters under his control. This can come in very handy as I will show you and give you a huge advantage.


My own Brighton Bloom is just a level 1 summoner, but that is enough to cause havoc on your opponents.


I think a maxed out Brighton Bloom would be awesome to have, so that you could use your monsters with all their abilities.

My Team

This is a mid-level mana battle and I have opted for the life deck as staying alive as long as possible is the goal.

Battle

My opponents:

The rules for the battle are:
Equal OpportunityAll monsters will attack from any position.
Armored UpMonsters get +2 added to their armor.
EarthquakeMonsters without flight ability will be hit with 2 melee damage after every round ends. Snared monsters will take 2 melee damage from earthquake per turn too..

ROUND 1 - Pelacor Conjurer vs. Pelacor Conjurer

It is a face-off in the tank position with both teams having non-attacking monsters placed there. As I am playing a level 1 summoner, many of my monsters lose their useful abilities that would ensure me a swift victory. However, even with a level 1 Brighton Bloom, I am sure I can get a victory in the gold league.



The first round starts with the quick death of my Silvershield Archers, they were no match for the magic attack of Djinn Renova. This was a fail choice of monster for me here.





ROUND 2 & 3


In the second round, Pelacor Arbalest is dealing some heavy blows on my opponent and I take my first scalp with Gargoya Devil falling. Things are not looking so rosy for me either though as Dhampir Infiltrator falls also.


In round 3, my opponent is already suffering under 2 earthquakes weakening their attack to my advantage. This isn't enough to stop my main attack from Pelacor Arbalest from falling next.



Round 4

In round 4, I finally finish of their Pelacor Conjurer leaving them without any flying monsters. They also manage to take out Sunkai Harvester. This is getting very close, who will win this?


Round 5


My Pelacor Conjurer now faces off against the mighty Djinn Renova. Normally my maxed out Pelacor Conjurer would reflect the magic attack of the evil Djinn. However, we are playing at level 1 here and there is no such ability to fall back on.

I am in luck though, Round 5 starts with an earthquake to finish off their Dumacke Exile and severely weaken the Djinn Renova. She can only last one more round.

Venari Crystalsmith heals my Pelacor Conjurer and then deals the final blow of the game to Djinn Renova. In her earthquake diminished state, she cannot fend off the ranged attack and it's all over.


Summary:

With the mighty power of Brighton Bloom being able to give monsters under his control the flying ability, this can give a huge advantage to your team.


Even if I would prefer a level 6 Brighton Bloom, you can still pull off some great victories with a level 1 summoner as I have shown you here.

In a ruleset that requires flying monsters only, this summoner is an absolute beast I tell you. I've never defeated it before. So you own only a level one of this card?

Yes, it is a total beast. I only own the level 1 summoner and it still manages to do the business! Another good one to have in your bag is Fernheart for those ranged-only matches.

Yeah its quite a pricey one, I am not sure if it makes sense to rent it if you don't use it too often.

Brighton Bloom is great for those earthquake rule sets. I have a GF of him and I use it in the brawls all the time. It has done quite well for me. I always forget how much of a difference flying can make against melee opponents too.

He is a great card and you are guaranteed to clock up a few misses with flying monsters, it can really help in a match.

While the Rare Water Summoner Vera Salacia has little utility in Battles in general, use it against a team led by the Rare Dragon Summoner Brighton Bloom to be guaranteed that your Water Monsters will never miss their target even when using Monsters with low Speed. 🤓

Any Summoner that gives the True Strike Ability (such as the Legendary Dragon Summoner Byzantine Kitty) or increases the Magic Attack of all Monsters can easily counter your summoner Brighton Bloom. 😆😅

Looks like you don't believe me that there are many counters to your favorite Summoner Brighton Bloom. 😅 Even if your opponent doesn't use all-Flying Monsters on a Battle with the Earthquake Rule, they can still quickly defeat your Flying lineup before the Earthquake starts defeating their non-Flying Monsters. 😆

You won only because 5 of your opponent's Monsters didn't have the Flying Ability and their Legendary Death Summoner Astral Entity wasn't a counter to Brighton Bloom. 😆😅

To play the game you need to buy a spellbook that costs $10. After that, you need to buy or rent a few good cards to help you win games.

You can spend as much time as you want to play, but I am usually spending 10mins x3 per day playing my matches. The more you play, the more chests you win with SPS, new cards or sometimes packs in.

The earning potential for the lower leagues is very low, but perhaps you could earn that $10 relatively quickly by blogging about your experience starting in the game. There are weekly battle, social media and art challenges to take part in.

I think you could rent around 10-12 cards from the earth and water deck to get you started and clock up some nice wins. What do you suggest @savvytester ?

I would rent a level 1 Mylor Crowling as your main earth summoner (cost now 0,22 DEC), Lyanna (0,1 DEC) and Obsidian (0,1 DEC).
Goblin Thief ( 0,1 DEC), Goblin Psychic ( 0,1 DEC), Unicorn Mustang ( 0,87 DEC), Goblin Tower ( 0,1 DEC), Venaria Scout ( 0,1 DEC),Mycellic Infantry ( 0,1 DEC), Mitica ( 0,1 DEC), Hunter Jarx ( 0,1 DEC), Acid Shooter ( 0,1 DEC), Djinn Bilka ( 0,1 DEC) Uraeus . Optional Queen Mycelia (5 DEC), Fungus Fiend (2,2 DEC)

This gives you a good earth deck with 3 summoners and a good range of monsters to play in modern and wild leagues with no problems. The rental prices are really cheap right now too so will cost you almost nothing.

You can see here you could also rent a number of other monsters for almost nothing to experiment with and test out:

I don't know everything about the #Splinterlands game, but thanks for mentioning me. 😅

I highly recommend renting and using the Rare Earth Summoner Mylor Crowling, some Earth Monsters and using the Earth Splinter whenever possible. 🤓 As a backup when the Earth Splinter is not available, I recommend renting the Rare Water Summoner Kelya Frendul along with some Water Monsters. 😏

You can create a new #Splinterlands account which you will keep on the Bronze League, then use a Level 2 Mylor Crowling (and Level 3 Common, Level 2 Rare, Level 2 Epic, and Level 1 Legendary Monsters) to defeat most of your opponents on that League. 💸😆😅 !LUV

The Silver III League is just next to the Bronze League, so you won't have much difficulty winning using Mylor Crowling on Silver League Ranked Battles. 🤓

Upgrading your Mylor Crowling and your Earth Monsters on your alt account will increase your win rate for Silver III by roughly 10%. 😏 !LOL

I often think that splitting your assets across multiple #Splinterlands accounts isn't worth it, since the Ranked Rewards on the lower leagues are proportionally less than those rewarded for the Gold and Champion Leagues, and the penalty for using Starter or low-Level Cards often takes more than half of your win Rewards. 💸🤯😅 !LUV

A Level 3 Brighton Bloom will cost $48.41 right now according to the #PeakMonsters market. 🤓😏

That's 3 times as expensive as the cheapest Summoner Card right now which is the Rare Qid Yuff (which gives the Pierce Ability to your Monsters) that costs only $0.80 per BCX. 😅 !LUV
