Hello #splinterlands friends, it is a pleasure for me to be participating again in this splinterlands creativity and art contest. This time I made an action figure of the water element card Flying Squid using recycled materials
Materials
- Paper towel or napkin
- Cardboard cylinder (from aluminum foil roll)
- Brushes
- white glue
- exact or scissors
- newspaper
- paint (Red, Blue, White, Orange and fluorescent yellow)
- A pair of magic eyes (crazy eyes)
- Water
- A good classical music playlist
- a pair of black gummies
- wire
- wick
- cardboard
Preparation
First I put on some good classical music to relax and concentrate so the ideas flow.
Once the music was playing, I cut the newspaper into strips and with the white glue in water and a paintbrush I covered the entire cardboard boundary cylinder, placing more newspaper from the top half in a vertical position to create a relief and separate the area from the head of the squid from the rest of the body and wait for it to dry and glue two rubber bands to mark where they will go
his eyes.
Later, with wire, I crossed the cylinder from one side to the other to give shape and structure to the tentacles and to stabilize them. To start adding volume, I covered the wire with wick and covered it with white glue so it doesn't come loose.
Once the entire structure was created, I made the figure of my Flying Squid's head out of cardboard and glued it to the top of the skeleton of my giant squid and proceeded to cover it all with paper towels. I placed it in the sun for a few minutes.
When it was dry, I started painting it as I didn't have purple paint, I mixed blue and red and it gave me the desired color with a little white. I clarified it a little. After painting it and letting it dry, I placed the eyes using white glue.

Hola amigos de splinterlands es un gusto para mí estar nuevamente participando en este concurso de creatividad y arte de splinterlands. En esta oportunidad realicé una figura de acción de la carta de elemento agua Flying Squid usando materiales de reciclaje
Materiales
- Papel toalla o servilleta
- Cilindro de cartón (del rollo de papel de aluminio)
- Pinceles
- pega blanca
- exacto o tijera
- periódico
- pintura (Rojo, Azul, Blanco, Naranja y amarillo fluorescente)
- Un par de ojos mágicos (ojos locos)
- Agua
- Una buena playlist de música clásica
- un par de gomitas negras
- alambre
- pabilo
- cartón
Elaboración
Primero coloqué algo de buena música clásica para relajarme y concentrarme de manera que fluyan las ideas.
Una vez la música en reproducción recorté el periódico en tiras y con la pega blanca en agua y un pincel cubrí todo el cilindro de cartón de límite colocando más periódico de la mitad de arriba en posición vertical para general un relieve y separar la zona de la cabeza del calamar del resto del cuerpo y espere que secara y le pegue dos gomitas para marcar donde irán
sus ojos.
Posteriormente, con alambre, atravesé el cilindro de un lado a otro para darle forma y estructura a los tentáculos y para estabilizarlos. Para comenzar a darle volumen, cubri el alambre con pabilo y cubri con pega blanca para que no se suelte.
Una vez elaborado toda la estructura, un cartón realizó la figura de la cabeza de mi Flying Squid y la pegué en la parte superior del esqueleto de mi calamar gigante y procedí a cubrirlo todo con papel toalla. Lo coloqué unos minutos al sol.
Cuando estuvo seco, comencé a pintarlo como no tenía pintura morada, mezcle azul y rojo y me dio el color deseado con un poco de blanco. Lo aclaré un poco. Después de pintarlo y que secara, le coloqué los ojos usando pega blanca.
Y listo, así he realizado este personaje de splinterlands espero que les guste mi trabajo. Díganme qué les parece mi figura de acción inspirada en Flying Squid en los comentarios.
Para concluir, he colocado a Flying Squid bajo la luz negra para que pueda resaltar esta habilidad bioluminosidad que tienen este animalito en las profundidades del océano.
